Sorry that's happened to you. People who have this issue have been able to remedy it by either:

Redownloading and re-unzipping the .zip

or

Running the game in administrator mode.

Feel free to continue to play 1.2 in the mean time.

What bugs are you experiencing?

Its a ui graphical bug. 

When editing the character, the UI will display the default values, but the options that you chose are still indeed applied to the charcater. 

Are you positive the body types aren't working properly? Would it be possible to submit a screenshot that includes your character's stats?

Something in your save file is probably corrupted. How much time have you put into this file? Deleting it would be the easiest thing to do. Fixing it might be possible, but its a bit harder.
