Hey, I actually started working on another project with some friends but I’ll message you when I decide to go back to working on this.

I've always been a fan of incremental games, so I want to make a full proper one with an artist so I'm not constrained by whatever art I find online or commissioning art.

I've made one incremental: https://snowtackt.itch.io/agricultural-evolution though I've been working on and off (mostly off) on a 2.5D remake with vastly better backend while redesigning it from the ground up.

I would be open to making any kind of incremental game, but there's a few directions I would want to go in personally. Either something similar to what I've made, a grid based thing similar to the ractor incrementals, or an ARPG esque thing, incremental diablo but really in depth like poe.

I've implemented RPG type mechanics into the game I made but I've been torn on whether to go further in that direction, where the plants are something you upgrade like gear in an ARPG or if it should be more static and have more depth in other areas.

I'm open to continuing work on my game with someone or making a completeny different one.

Art style can be anything, I think typically pixel art is good for these types of games, but any 2D or 3D art would be fine as long as it looks good and cohesive. It could even be something super similar to what I made but with a different theme and setting, I think there's tons of ways to go art direction wise.

If you want to do game design stuff as well I'm absolutely down for that, or if you'd rather leave it all to me that's fine too.

The ultimate goal of the project would be a steam and mobile release with fair monetization that hopefully gives a return on the time invested, with tons of updates in the future.

Edit: I started working on another project with some friends but if you reply to this post I will message you when I decide to go back to working on this.

I haven't worked on it in a bit but I have worked on it past the patch here. I will probably come back to it eventually.

Were you offline for a really long time or do you know what could've caused that to happen?

Hm the bugs are hard for me to find and solve when it's that non-specific, but if you have a way for me to replicate any of them let me know and I'll fix them.

Chip rarities aren't bugged, but tiers weren't giving the bonus they should have.

Yeah the platform button should probably be moved to its own thing.

Zooming even further out? You can zoom out enough to easily fit 5x5 platforms which I feel is plenty, but I could definitely increase it if people feel it would be good.

Thank you, that's good to hear :)
The next update won't be the grimoire though, but a a kind of engineering/construction update with things to place other than platforms and such.

Thanks, glad you like it! It got buggy? Buggy how?

Quality of life is something I'm always interested in adding so just let me know if you have any suggestions.

As for the ability to delete more than 1 plant at a time: it's something I think is needed but I'm not sure how to implement it, because I know if I bring back the delete toggle that used to be on the inventory then people will keep forgetting it's on and accidentally deleting their plants. There's probably a good way to implement it that I just haven't thought of yet.

Yeah sorry I had to take it down because the save system just stopped working out of nowhere. I had problems with it resetting saves between versions earlier, but I managed to fix that, but this new problem I have 0 clue why it's happening and I can't manage to debug it. I want to have a working web version up but I just don't know why it's not saving/loading properly.

Thank you, in depth is definitely my goal, next update is gonna add a whole new layer to make it even more in depth and tweak balancing a lot.

Background music is something that's been suggested before, but I never personally pay attention to in incremental/idle games so I don't know how common it is or what type of music is used. I can look into it for the next update though, see if I find some decent free song(s)

Yeah, sorry, I want the game to be playable on the web but everyone's saves being wiped every update makes the game unplayable imo. I want to fix it but it I haven't been able to so far.

Edit: web version back up

I don't think WebGL supports mobile, at least that's what it says when I try it on my android, so you have to download it, but I don't have iOS support right now, sorry.

Hi, thanks for pointing this out, I've fixed it, the fix will come with the next update.

Lmao yeah that's the goal with incremental games like this one. I don't ever want to make the game tedious and force you to click a whole bunch for some minor gains, the fun should come from watching numbers go up and making strategic choices that make them go up more goodbetterer.

Back when I got an idea for a little game I wanted to make I searched for a while for a free pack of plants I  could use before stumbling onto this. Without this pack I'm honestly not sure if I'd have made the game, so thank you.

It's still in alpha but here's a link https://snowtackt.itch.io/agricultural-evolution

I haven't gotten around to making a credits page just yet but once I do I'll be sure to include this in there.
