I've known not to mix business and pleasure with personal projects for ages, but as a result of needing to do commissions for money, it made it harder and harder to enjoy producing art. My reasons for doing art became unfocused and unclear, and it lead to a lot of resentment over time. I've been attempting to remember this rule by asking myself what I want from art before I start making it. If the answer is unclear, I allow myself a break to consider my thoughts.

This has helped clarify an issue I've had with my own art that lead to burnout! I'm glad to see someone else who's thought about this, and put their thoughts out there for others.

Very cool design! This enemy has enough personality on its own to be a full platformer character.

Wait, as in the flexible revenue sharing system itch uses? Why target adult creators if that's the case, rather than require a minimum amount like 1% - 5%?

The cowardly way this is being handled is entirely why this decision is pissing me off. If payment processors are breathing down their necks, they really should just out and out say so.

Editing to clarify that I still disagree with the way this situation has been handled, as it has introduced unnecessary apprehension around NSFW games. However, there may be more going on behind the scenes that would require itch not to disclose which specific rules are being broken. It seems NSFW games are still safe for now.
