Global War Drone Command : Strait of Hormuz

Controls:

• WASD / Arrow Keys — fly your drone
• Mouse — aim by moving cursor
• SPACE or Click — fire Hellfire missiles (8 shots, then auto-reload)

Progression system:

• 5 escalation levels — Hostile → Conflict → Warzone → Global War → Total Annihilation
• Each level brings more ships, faster bullets, more chaos
• Combo multiplier stacks fast kills for massive score bonuses
• Level up restores 25 HP

Enemy counts by level:

• Level 1 HOSTILE — 12 ships (frigates, gunboats, destroyers, subs)
• Level 2 CONFLICT — 20 ships (+ cruisers and tankers join)
• Level 3 WARZONE — 30 ships (carriers entering the strait)
• Level 4 GLOBAL WAR — 42 ships (battleships, double tanker presence)
• Level 5 TOTAL ANNIHILATION — 60 ships simultaneously on screen

⚡ Enemy Drone Waves

• 4 drone types: Scout (fast, nimble), Attack (accurate), Heavy (2HP, tanky), Kamikaze (flies straight into you, big damage)
• Waves escalate in size and frequency — starts at 4 drones, reaches 30+ in late levels
• Purple/pink bullets distinct from ship fire so you can prioritise threats
• Drones show on the live radar (bottom right) as purple blips

📢 Robotic War Voice + Console

• Web Speech API with lowest pitch/rate for a robotic military voice
• 📢 button to mute voice independently of SFX and music
• Live intel console (bottom left, green terminal) logs events in real time with timestamps — also prints to browser console
• Dynamic events: nation-on-nation attacks, carrier hits, missile strikes, submarine contacts, commander quotes
• Commander speeches: each nation's commanders shout orders in their language (Russian, Chinese, French, Arabic etc.)
• Voice throttled to avoid overlap — max one callout every 3.5 seconds

• Corner bracket targeting reticle framing the whole screen
• Animated green scan line sweeping top-to-bottom

A pal of mine is well into GURPS - he has been in a wheelchair since 19 (he is now 53), I asked him about what app he would like, he said this so I built.  If you got nothing constructive to say shut your face and embrace  AI - I programmed 30+ years without AI now I take full advantage of it.  I am all up for negative criticism  but you can shove your brain dead comments where the sun don't shine in my opinion :) 

Oct 31st 2025 - For some reason beyond my control OGG files no longer play in Clickteam using the Sound Object.  Compatible filetypes are WAV, MP3 and AIFF

Good day, unfortunately true, I tried many ways, reason I discovered is due to me using the sound player object which is not compatible with the limited html version of my software.  I'm about to upload an offline version.  I do plan to do a work around so this online midiplayer works hopefully.

Years of fun to come for everyone with this cool product that spools all the cassettes into one supersize archive !!! 

Direct X may need updating on newer machines as it uses d3dx9_31.dll, this is remedied by updating your Visual C Runtime Libraries, from Microsoft, or here... https://www.sts-tutorial.com/download/credistributable2019 (for both 32bit & 64bit machines.

Excellent bit of software if I do say so myself.  Always being a massive fan of retro computing and a C64 owner back in the day I find this bit of kit amazing, it brings everything together in a compacted and concise way, with all the hard bit taken care of so seamless game play can begin forthwith.  No need for a head screwdriver either :)
