Thanks for the feedback. Im actually currently in the process of trying to make a “whole” game and not just a game jam version. I plan to address a lot of the common struggles/issues people had to make an enjoyable experience.
Ive also been practicing and reading up more on pixel art and art in general to produce better assets for it, im not sure when it’ll be done it'll get there eventually!

Thanks for trying it out! I will definitely have to look into making a fully polished version of it since I've had a few mention it. I think the snapping was set to something like 24 pixels away and I've considered the idea of just making the first part of each assembly static that way theres no need to figure out where to snap it!

Thanks! I wasnt sure either on the levels with 1 part, my idea was introduce every single component prior to the final level, so that you wouldnt  get there and suddenly theres a few new parts you had not seen. As for the visible position to start I had tinkered with a new ideas for it but then ended up breaking the game as i wanted it to look nice and not just a straight texture change, thanks for the feedback.

Thanks i appreciate the feedback, both of these were things i did take note of and planned on coming back to at some point to integrate. I did consider making the preview screens what they are now, but also adding the individual components in order at the bottom to show how to build it. Thanks for giving it a shot!

Currently there is no actual ending, you just build the 3 things and then thats it, im working on a full sized game at the moment where at the end you actually build a piece of equipment that im hoping to have done before the end of the jam, otherwise ill just upload it on its own!

As a fan of games like MegaBonk and Risk of Rain i love how much is going on, took me three tries before i finally beat it!

Simple enough concept, i felt figuring out which keys to press was really confusing as to what direction I was going to go in after pressing it

It was definitely an interesting submission, I like how the keys needing to be pressed are always changing, ambient sounds give real creepypasta/scp sounds so that was nice too lol

(1 edit)

I like the idea of it, one of the things that i was struggling with at first was input timing but then after 2 rounds I learned I could just hold the input I wanted to go to and once the opening was there it would go regardless. I think maybe some variance in speed in the guards could make it a bit more challenging

EDIT: Looked at the comments after posting this and noticed you mentioned the movement thing.
