Very addictive little roguelike dungeon crawler you've made!

I am very impressed with how complete of a game you managed to create in just a few days. And the polish, my god. Mad props!

As for the game itself, it is great! I am admittedly struggling to get past level 8 or so, but then again I am stubbornly trying to kill everything even when it might be a better idea to just book it haha!

Haha no worries, it was meant as a compliment :)

Quirky little game, love the artstyle and "vibe" of it!

Shame you didn't have time for the cutscenes as it would be quite interesting to see how you would depict them :)

Great work with the game nonetheless! :)

The game  worked fine for me, besides the pause/esc menu not doing anything.
Was a bit confused why the shots all went up to the left. Managed to figure it out by reading the controls you posted on the game-page, that one's on me haha :)

I kinda wish that instead of hitting CTRL to shoot, you could just use one of the mouse-buttons.  I was also expecting the time to tick down as if the bombs had a countdown until detonation.

The game was quite enjoyable, all things considered  :)

Neat little premise!

Like a stardew valley farming-speedrun :)

Since the game is supposed to be very fast paced, it is a bit jarring to control the farming interaction with mouse + keyboard and then have to use only the keyboard while in the shop.

A fun game loop however !

Great work :)

The concept is very original and I can see it work pretty well as a fast-paced "think-fast" type of game.

Great artwork as well!
A bit hard to read what the cards say, and there was a point where all my cards had the same text on it, so I kinda had to wait for the "quiz master" to ask the correct question. Not sure if that was what I was intended to do...

Still, great premise, with a little bugfixing and balancing this would be a fun little game.

Great job! :)

Solid premise for a challenging platformer!

I did manage to beat it, but it took some time before I got a "feel" of how the controls worked. Usually in platformers you give the player some "coyote time" or buffer their input so that you have some leeway when timing a jump. But in this game, I found that it was much easier to jump first and then input movement, so it took a bit to get used to it.

If you adjusted the movement a bit, I think this game would be much more enjoyable to play.

Great work :)

What a sweet little push-your-luck type of game!

Loved the minigames the game loop! It did get a bit same-y after just a couple of floors. Some kind of added diversity, maybe harder combination locks, different timers on the detonator etc.

But considering this is a jam-game, you knocked it out of the park with this one!

Great job!

Grossly underrated game!

The atmosphere, premise and especially ending was really good!
A bit finicky with the pipe-repair as it wasn't completely visually clear where I needed to interact to fix the pipe at first.

But you really nailed the space feeling. Especially the ending caught me a bit off guard.
On another note, even though I understood that "E" was for interacting with things, I got a bit confused with the panels as they said "click".

Other than that, fantastic little game, and a great starting point to continue work on it!

Great job!

Love the animations on the little guy!

Was a bit rough with some colliders on platforms that you seemed to get stuck on, but a pretty solid little platformer!

Great job finishing your first jam! :)

Love the premise of the game, and it's simplicity really works well with all the power-ups and core loop.

I could totally see this being developed further into a nice little rogue-like / lite game !

Fantastic work, especially as this was your first jam game :D

I think you unfortunately uploaded the exported project files. You'll need to make a build of said project for it to launch as a stand-alone.

Hopefully you'll be able to sort it out and upload an .exe after the jam ends :)

As others have mentioned, there is a missing .pck so I can't launch the game.

A shame, as both the thumbnail, screenshot and your theme description was quite interesting!

I hope you'll join more jams in the future :)

Was a bit unclear what to do, but kinda interesting to try and figure things out! The spider transform scare caught me off guard, and you managed to make a bit of animations that unnerved me haha.

You did manage to trigger my arachnophobia, which usually doesn't happen with spiders in games.
Good job on that one I guess haha ! :D

I like the core loop that you created with this one, and with a bit of polish this could be a really great incremental-upgrade type of FPS!

I'm not sure if my game bugged out, but once I interacted with the door using the key, the only thing that happened is that the time started counting down in larger chunks until it stopped completely.

There were also some movement issues, like gaining tonnes of speed if you ran diagonally, and each incline felt like I was running on the most slippery ice ever.

All in all, I had fun with the game!  Great job :)

While I do enjoy art, the game could use a bit more polish. Some feedback when hitting enemies as well as sfx/vfx would make it feel much better to play. Really cool that you've managed to make a procedural dungeon generator!

I would also have loved some variety in the rooms, as it was quite confusing to navigate through the dungeon. Everything kinda looked the same.

Great work so far, you have a really solid foundation for a potential dungeon crawler !

Very clever idea ! Felt a bit undercooked however. The Unripe-ripe timer occasionally jumped straight to being "ripe" even though the bar at the bottom said otherwise. It was also really hard to avoid the mouth when it "lunged" at you.

In general, fantastic concept and theming!

Great job :)

Great fit with the theme! A bit finick-y to add all the connections to the operator-blocks, but I had a great time figuring out which operators to use and in which order.

The operator-blocks felt a bit large compared to the rest of the game and took up quite a large area of the playable space, which made later levels feel very cramped.

All in all, a very enjoyable little puzzler!

Well done :)

What a neat idea for a puzzle game!

Would be nice to re-arrange already written entries instead of having to re-type them and there were a few rules that I didn't quite understand what I was meant to do.

But the concept in its core is really solid.

Congrats on a game finished, hope you'll manage many more in the future!

Thanks for the kind words, happy you enjoyed it ! :)

Neat little puzzler with great presentation!

Was really fun to try and figure out the solution as some levels really had me deep in the tank :)

Really neat game!

I like the idea of the game, but as many others have pointed out, a lack of instructions on how the game works maked it very difficult to figure out what to do!

Great job with the visuals!

A fun and hectic twist on a deckbuilder roguelike!

Love the idea of the game and it felt balanced if a bit basic with the way the card works, but that might be the nature of the frantic vibe you managed to achieve. Hard to have too much complexity while also encouraging the player to make quick action :)

All in all a very well thought out and executed game !
I mean, who can say no to living the fantasy of a frantic spell-flinging goblin?

Fantastic work :)

Glad you enjoyed the game!

Great feedback! The idea of having the shot block your own is to incentivize the player to strafe and shoot, thus leaning more into that kind of playstyle, at least in the early game before the powerups make you crazy strong :) But I can totally see what you mean, it is a bit frustrating at times when your shots get eaten by enemy shots.

Appreciate the kind words :)

Simple concept executed really well.
Aside from some buggy menus, such as the shop, the game was very solid and enjoyable!

The game did unfortunately crash on me when I beat the last boss :(

I could totally see this as a fully developed title, the art is outstanding!

It's like if mindsweeper merged with that satisfying feeling of popping bubble wrap!

Really nice little puzzler! And the juice / effects when you scored an F, Masterfully done!

Really freaking well made little gem!

Love the concept and mechanics on this one! The art style really helped sell the vibe of the game! I did unfortunately manage to freeze the game on several occasions, which meant that I couldn't finish it.

I would also loved to have some kind of indicator where the souls are going to "spawn",  as the first couple of attempts on each level is more of a guessing game until you memorize all the soul spawn locations and their respective turn order.

A bit of polish and you've got a great little puzzler!

Really well done :)

Neat little experience, really reminded me of old flash videos!

Great job :)

Awesome little game you've made!

The artstyle and music really oozes a fantastic vibe!
I usually lost the game after a while because nothing seemed to defeat the enemies, no matter what I did.
The slighly janky ball movement caused it to just lie flat on the ground, removing all time / life in an instant.

Aside from those small issues, I had very fun with it.

Really good job! :)

Really reminds me of super monkey ball and (for some reason) the katamari games.

Very cute and some great power-ups as well!

Awesome work ! :)

I am so glad that you liked it !
We've gotten a bunch of feedback so far so we'll at least update the game post-jam with some changes :)

Hey, glad you enjoyed the game and thanks for the feedback! We did discuss internally if we wanted to add a grappling hook upgrade, but ultimately decided against it due to time constraints. Would be a great fit in the game though :)

Woah, really good core gameplay loop!

If you were to add some handcrafted puzzle-esque level, this game would make rounds for sure!

Such simple and intuitive controls as well. Would love to have this on my mobile phone.

Fantastic game you guys cooked up!

I gotta say, you really nailed the atmosphere. I really felt for all of the people you got to interact with.

I would love to have a more narrative, gameplay-light game in the same vibe as this one for sure.

Outstanding work!

Great artwork! I was struggling a bit with how I was supposed to play the game, would love to have had some kind of tutorial in game that would explain what all the different bars and icons meant.

The monster design and "vibe" was really superb!

Great work! :)

I'm not sure what I am supposed to do in the game. I figured out how to move around, but the main goal of the game is not very clear.
It feels a bit unfinished unfortunately.

I really enjoyed the artstyle, especially on the player character!

This game reminded me of one of those fast-pace wood chopping games!

Really neat game loop, would have loved to get some kind of a highscore once you died, as it would be nice to know what score to chase in future runs. I also felt like the movement from left to right felt a bit too... touchy? The character had a tendency to slide multiple tiles instead of just one, causing me to die fairly often.

All in all, great little game that I kept wanting to replay to get event further down!

Fine work :)

Indeed!

I like the idea of reducing your luck before betting on the different casino-stations!

The cutscenes, albeit a tad slow, did get me interested in the game for sure and I did finish the game just so I could se how it would end :)

I would have loved to have some kind of mini/micro games for each gambling station to get a bit more things to do in the game.

Great premise, but would love to have more "active gameplay".

Good job nonetheless, the ending was great :)

Ooh so you had a chance at getting the "body" of one but not always? Makes sense why my merino x cow blend always came out with no body modifier :)
