Ah, 1.0.3 only introduces a bug fix for the PC version, the GBA version doesn't have any changes,  sorry! I just realized that the bug was there because I was moving the code to a different hosting and I tried to build it to check that everything was in order.

Yes, the GBC version is more demanding, and it seems to give emulators more problems than the GBA version. Your emulator isn't the only one...

I've been told it doesn't work in gpSP either. No clue, really. It works even in my GiiBiiAdvance, and it's not the most accurate emulator out there...

Also, you can disable disasters in the pause menu.

Yeah, the trick there is to demolish everything around the fire. I was going to implement something like in the original Sim City, where you can put firemen on the map, but I didn't have time for this kind of things.

You can use any tools you want. For music I use OpenMTP, and usually people use maxmod to play them on GBA. For sound effects, no idea, but maxmod can also play them.

You should probably ask in that repository how to export in the GBA format. You should take a look at this to see how to load data: https://www.coranac.com/tonc/text/regbg.htm#sec-demo
