What better way to spend my friday night than reading a new update to my favourite FVN :3

And I'm being honest here, even if other FVNs might have higher production quality, caused by more funding and experience, none have a setting as captivating as this one. The craftsmanship of this first FVN of yours has no right being so high, it's sooo good.

The world itself that you have build has drawn me in like an endless ocean swallows a ship. (As you may tell, your recent dev diary has resonated with me on a deep level).

I'll try to keep it mostly? spoiler free for anyone reading, because I unfortunately peeked at some comments and was a bit spoiled.
I'm really glad that it wasn't a repeat of Echo, I don't think I would've survived another Leo route, my blood was boiling whenever I saw THAT bear. The story was intense, I almost had a heart attack when the thing happened to Arturo. And the whole thing answered some questions I had about the town of Echo.

SOME ENDING SPOILERS
Despite all the trauma the ending felt sweet, even with all the long lasting damage it felt like they survived, like they managed to escape, which was not the feeling I got from Echo, there it felt like the influence of Echo was still looming over them.
The alternate Devon and "Cameron" gave me the creeps tho, it also supports the whole thing about Echo having "alternate universes", and creating some sort of "echos" of people.

So yeah, I ended up liking it :3

We are not used to such high temperatures, neither are our houses, they never needed to be in the past.

Very few people have AC here, none of my friends do really, I installed one just two years ago when moving, because neither I nor my family ever needed one before.
I suppose with time that will change, as the heat-waves become more frequent and harsh, but as it stands now, not many here are prepared for the climate change.

I mean, you kinda right but still, to y'all eager ones out there, just have some god damned patience peeps, this is just a game (good one but still).  Kael has personal life, will something happen to you if the new update rolls out like a week later or something? In the mean time go for a jog, or a walk, enjoy some time with friends, or whatever. Just give our boy a break.

So after taking two weeks to calm myself down I, against my better judgment, picked up this game again to try TJ's route. Even tho I knew what Leo's route did to me, I couldn't restrain myself from wanting to find some answers as to what is going on in Echo.

And now I'm done. I don't want to know or find out anything more.
I'm just going to curl up in a ball and cry in a corner.

So at first Leo seemed qenuine and caring, but deeper in the playthrough you can learn some not fun things about him, like his obsesion or how he always tries to control Chase, later his attatude towards anyone but Chase becomes agressive.
At first I thought that it was just the "town curse" or something getting to him, and if he and Chase escape, all will be fine and dandy, but boy was I wrong. Chase didn't deserve it after all this, he really cared and riscked his life for Leo, and that is how Leo thanks him? By murduring him out of selfishness? Forget the thanking, shouldn't significant other at least TRY to save their other half?

Looking back I think I know what is happening (maybe). It's as if that "town curse" is amplifying the flaws within anyone it touches, including Leo, that would mean that Leo is as horrible as all the other maniacs in this town, it's just he is better at manipulating people into beliving otherwise, afterall his obsesion and agressive attatude started way before this whole madness.

And personaly, Kudzu is much better fit for Chase, he actually saved the guy couple of times. His ending is bittersweet as h*ll, but multitude times better that what Leo's looked like.

I still want to unwrap and learn what is really happening, I think I will see TJ's route next, tho I'll still need some more time to recover and prepear mentally for something this caliber. Inspite what I said previously, I cant leave all those questions in my head unanswered. So yeah, more pain and suffering coming right up.

Just a warning for people out there!
(least amount of spoilers I could muster)

If you are looking for a game that, despite all the horrors and terrors scattered throughout it, ends on a good note, so you can finish it with a smile on your face and remember it fondly, or like me you get attached to the characters, feel what they feel, and just can't handle such sh*t like that, reconsider if you really want to play it.

Don't get me wrong, the game is amazing, and all in all I am glad I've played it, even tho it left me broken. Considering all the work that autors put into it I kinda loved it, but the ending... f*ck...

I don't think I will be able to think straight for weeks. I only finished (whole) Leo's route, and as much as I would like to expirience the stories of other characters, I don't think I can force myself to press the "New Game" button again.

This game is incredible at leading you into a fake feeling of safety, then completly ruining your happines, followed by a little speck of hope, and then smacking you across the face for beliving that things could turn out better.

Yeah, I know, some people like that kind of stuff.
There should be a big f*cking red warning for p*ssies like me, tho.

Don't even get me started on Brian, I was so terrified and uncomfrtable around him.
