Hello there! I recently finished my first little action/arcade game while learning how to use GameMaker, and I ended up liking what I made enough that I wanted to actually release it.
Kilo's Snack Fall is a simple arcade-style game where you play as Kilo, a little round woofer with a very important mission: to eat all the good foods! You’ll be catching burgers, cake and cookies while avoiding rotten food, managing Kilo’s hunger, and grabbing a few power-ups along the way. The longer you survive and the higher your score gets, the more hectic things become.
This originally started as a way for me to learn GameMaker. I figured a simple “items falling from the sky” game would be a manageable first project before I tried tackling something bigger. Of course, once I got started I kept adding things likepower-ups, lives, high scores, music, sound effects, menus, difficulty changes... and eventually it turned into an actual little game!
It was a really fun learning process, and honestly I'm just happy I managed to take something from an idea all the way to a finished playable game.
It's completely free if anyone feels like giving it a try:

If you do play it, I'd be curious to hear what score you manage to get or what you think of it. 🙂
