really nice melodies throughout, and uses a lot of unexpected non-diatonic stuff in a way that i haven't heard much in this jam. really enjoyed this. thanks for sharing :)

yeah, we wanted to come back and extend out the latter tracks and make a continuous mix, but we both work full-time on opposite schedules, and we also design all of our sounds and drums and stuff, so we just ran out of time unfortunately. i think we might come back and do this and post it in the discord server later. thanks for listening and for the kind words :)
my favorite thing about this ost is that you manage to find multiple vibes/emotional spaces throughout the ost. it's really dynamic; sometimes it's wistful, sometimes it's funky, sometimes it's meditative. this dynamism is something i associate with really good games (and art in general), and i think that it helps the whole thing to be much more emotionally impactful. great work. thanks for sharing :)
wandering and curious. the sounds and melodies you found fit together in this space that sounds naive (this is a good thing; like a kitten exploring!!) and optimistic. if i heard this in a video game, i'd be delighted. if you wanted a fun direction to explore in, try some plucky low-pass filters on your leads with some high-feedback delays afterwards; i get a lot of my favorite sounds doing that to arps and melodies that are along this direction. thank you for sharing :)
wow i loved this. it definitely will not be for everyone, but some of the rhythmic and melodic spaces you discover in the second track were extremely inspiring for me - i wouldn't change anything. liked it enough to add to my offline library, which is pretty rare. please keep doing what you're doing. thank you for sharing :)
thanks for the detailed feedback!! yeah i'm totally with you; we focused really hard on having tight, memorable loops with strong leitmotifs that built throughout the OST, which make sense when you're literally in a bullet hell game. in this format, if we'd had more time, I'd like to have doubled each of the faster tracks towards the end with some extra harmonies and melody variations. hindsight is 20/20 lol
we're talking about doing an extended and/or continuous mix after the jam (obviously can't add it to the release now). i'll happily send it your way if we get around to it :)
this hits an emotional note that i haven't heard in many of the other osts. it's spacey, gritty, and lower-fidelity (in a good way) in a really charming way that i associate with games i've long been inspired by (some akira yamaoka, maybe some 90s/2000s pc games). all of the songs are great, but i really like the textural spaces that are hit in the place that consumes (especially those more abstract atonal sounds that come in near the end). thanks for sharing :)
delicate and sincere. i really like the development of the melodic themes going through this. the piano in love you, farewell is harmonically super up my alley and i liked it a lot. lots of comments on technical production stuff here, and i don't think it's as problematic as portrayed in this comment section. that stuff comes with experimentation, practice, and working with other people (very important); the most important part is to just keep writing because you like writing music. thanks for sharing :)
> I wish this were all put into one track/video or something
i'm actively resisting the urge to spend the next two weeks doing this hahahahaha. thank you for listening and for the kind words. really glad that it's noticeable that they sort of flow together; we spent a good amount of effort making things both loopable and continuous :')
