Yeah I was definitely going to go for a South Park like a disclaimer and there would be tons of hints that this is satire, but my concern is that some weirdo would ignore all that and think "this is really fun". Thanks for he input!

So I have 2 ideas for this year's jam, and they're both a very satirical take on the subjects. On one hand I like the idea of putting you in the shoes of the bad guy taking immoral actions; I think if it's done well enough it drives the point home better and in my case makes for better gameplay. But on the other I fear that if the satire is not done well enough, it might come out as endorsing those actions, or even making it seem like fun.

The experience I'm going for here is something like DEFCON (2006), where you get sucked in to the action and then at the end, it gets you thinking how horrible this all is.

What are your thoughts on this?

Sounds good! The only thing I would change is that the win condition (which is also a key message) might be hard to find and a lot of people might miss it. You might want to consider having it somewhere less hidden.

If you think that a colorful and easy to win game is all doom & gloom... wait till you see the real world.

Sounds like someone who got fucked over by Stalin. What's interesting about this one?

There is an entire current of anti-Stalinist left (anarchism, democratic socialism, left communism and trotskyism) that share his distaste for authoritarian dictatorships. Criticizing capitalism does not make you automatically a Stalin supporter, contrary to what 70 years of capitalist propaganda has taught us.

Sounds good. What do you recommend?

If I had my way, I would make you read a book, so you wouldn't sound like such a fool

Very cool idea and charming presentation! Do you use patched conics for the orbital sim?

You're absolutely right! After having some time to think about this in the last week, I agree that there should be a positive message at the end to motivate people to do better and avoid devolving into nihilism. Something which I didn't manage to bake into my own game. But next year I will give this a higher priority.

Great idea and presentation!

Sorry, couldn't play it. The window doesn't scale properly and it's just too small to see anything (4k monitor). You should set window stretch mode to Viewport or Canvas Items

Pretty cool puzzle game. My game bugged out at level 2 and keeps restarting like someone's previous comment. Some more easing into the mechanics would have been nice

Such a nice game! I love how you can just chill and team up with some random people to just build a cozy little place

Thanks, I enabled it but still the same. Probably not supported for my GPU/OS

Looks cool, but it didn't work for me. I see this error in the console

main.js:52 Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'requestDevice') at main (main.js:52:29)

No worries, there are infinite resources to exploit and infinite wealth for everyone, just like the neoliberals say!

Wow, haunting atmosphere and great writing! I like to think how quiet the world will be once we are gone, and the writing here really captures that.

Great game! Really got the point across in a short time, and the visuals were great, with lots of little details in the background like the tree. I also liked the very optimistic message that we will make it to 2070!

Great visuals! Well done!

Very nice graphics and cozy feeling when playing!

Great job! Loved the aesthetics and the message of this. And the writing is pungent and funny.

Very nice and slick UI with a lot of detail! Was looking for some Vuejs games and this is impressive

Really funny concept! Well done!

Nice take on tile matching games and great presentation. Definitely got your point across!

Great! I was planning on finishing for today, but got stuck binging House of the Dragon ( yes, I know, very capitalist, I have flaws XD ).

I'll upload something this weekend

This looks sick! Looking forward to see the full release!

Holy shit, this is amazing! Well done!

Very fun game! With a bit more polish it can be great!

This is a really cool idea! Hope to see an updated version of this some day

First time streaming, let's give this a try. Going to be doing everything solo in Godot https://www.twitch.tv/sirdorius

Maybe worth putting the discord link in the jam description? It was a bit hard to find buried in here

You should definitely not commit assets that are paid to a public repo or you might get a takedown notice. You can ignore them as mentioned above, or a fancier solution but with a bit more complexity is to create a submodule for the assets that is a private repo and include that in the main repo which is public

https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2/Git-Tools-Submodules

I understood the controls, but I didn't understand the mechanics. Are the cameras supposed to kill you every time? The first camera on the second level doesn't. How can I tell if I will overdose on blood if I can't see the full bar on the right? Why can't my character pass through the corridor in the first level?

Wow, just found this game randomly and it is really awesome! Would be great to have a full release of this. Reminds me a bit of Little Fighter

Hey, I tried using this, but some of clouds can't be easily separated as an atlas because they end up in each other's bounding box

Nice visuals overall and good work! The movement feels very slow and it's weird that the enemies completely block your shots with their weapons.

I like the visuals and the gameplay was pretty solid. The camera is very distracting as it seems to jitter when you move instead of being smooth. Also don't understand why you have to use the mouse as well if you could just press the keys instead.

Amazing visuals and audio! And the game was really fun!. Minor nitpick: I don't get the point of the dice, it just seems very distracting, especially since it's bigger than most characters. Do I really need to know what number was rolled?

Pretty fun concept. It's interesting how you have to balance out your 2 actions. The graphics were nice and some sounds would have added a lot. Was a bit hard at first. Maybe needs to ease into the difficulty more.
