  • How many enemies is appropriate per level?

For the area that you can explore currently, I found the density of enemy(s) to be fine. It gave me space to breathe and explore.

  • Would you prefer a HUD?

I think I would. It would just give me a little bit of comfort knowing what I need to know about.

  • How strong should the enemy attack the player?

I wasn't too sure about how the enemy is currently attacking the player. It seems like the enemy is firing a cube at the player? I think if the cube took away a third or half of the player health, it would be fine.

  • How should the player attack? Would you like mouse click combat or full keyboard combat?

I think I would like mouse click combat. I think there is something satisfying about using mouse clicks to fight, rather than exclusively keyboard inputs.

  • How do you feel about the jump height/power? Should it be lowered?

I think the jumping is fine. I did have trouble going up stairs though.

  • What types of cards or upgrades would you like to see?

I guess just different types of cards? I think the variety of cards are all roughly the same at the moment, and could just use some more interesting ones. I don't have any particular ideas in mind.

  • What types of enemies would you like to see added to the game?

Maybe a "glass cannon" type would be interesting, as in they can really easily defeat you but they are also pretty defeatable.

  • Does the overall movement of the affection slider feel good?

I think so. It was clear and responsive.

  • Is there any other additions you would like to see?

Nothing in particular. I think the game just feels a bit one dimensional at the moment, and could use almost any different kind of mechanic to make it more interesting.

* How does the dial feel, is it intuitive

I like the dial. I pulled it up without even reading the instructions first.

* How does the arm throw feels? (Trajectory, Gravity, Distance, Strength)

I couldn't figure out how to throw the arm. The arm would just disappear after some time and then I would be able to move again.

* What do you think of the scenery?

I really like it! It's really pretty, and I love the parallax going on in the background.

Overall, I enjoy the feel of the game. I will say that at first, the idle animation seemed a little bit extreme to me, but I stopped noticing it pretty quick.

  • Does the character feel sluggish? Is it fine for the character to feel slow if upgrades will eventually make the character feel better?

It did feel a little sluggish, but I think I wouldn't mind it for the finished product. If there will be upgrades, I think that works for me.

  • Can you see the game becoming too difficult? If so how do you think we should balance it?

To be honest, I can't tell at the moment.

  • Are there too many enemies? How many unique enemies do you think there should be?

Again, I can't tell at the moment. Considering killing them isn't hard, I don't think there's too many. I don't feel strongly about having 1 or many unique enemies, as I'm not sure what kind of characteristics those enemies will have.

  • What upgrades to the turrets do you want to see?
  • Is the firing speed good for the amount of enemies?
  • How many unique Turrets do you think there should be?
  • How many Turrets per X path squares of path should there be?
  • Are the turrets’ sliders easy to use?

I couldn't tell if the turrets were doing anything. I'm sure if I had a clear understanding of what the sliders did, I could give a clear answer, but I can't at the moment.

  • Is the pathing good for the Enemies?
  • What kind of improvements should the Enemies have?

I wasn't sure where the Enemies were going. Don't have any specific suggestions for improvements for the Enemies at the moment, I would like to first see them developed a bit more before saying what could be improved.

  • Is this cat chonky enough?

If I'm being completely honest, it kinda just looks like a cat with an average BMI. The cat could definitely afford some pounds to get it chonkier.

  • When shooting with the main cat do you see any improvements? If so, what are they?

Having a sound and bullet trajectory would be nice.

  • Is the movement of the cat coherent?
  • How are the cats movement?

I don't see any problem with it. I do like the walk animations that are going on.

We are planning to add these in the future how do you think they would impact the game?

Gold and items to pick up, level boss

I think the features would be nice additions.

Overall, I think there is a good foundation here and some nice pixel art going on. I don't feel strongly about anything in particular as I think the game just needs to be developed a bit more to get a feel of the direction this game will take.

How do you feel about the brief puzzle mechanics?

I liked them, and I would be very interested in playing more complex levels that have the same style of puzzle mechanics. I assume this is already on the agenda, but I would like to see more types of platforms other than the green ones.

Were you able to figure them out relatively quickly with a bit of trial and error?

I don't know if it's just me, but I thought the first two were a little too easy. Meaning, I accidently passed the first two puzzles without even realizing what I did. Upon my second playthrough, I then realized what the first two puzzles actually were. I think having the green platforms turn a different color when you're on them could make it more intuitive that they actually do something.

Did you get an understanding of the physics of the current body parts that were present?

I think so. My understanding is that you can use the hand as something when you need to roll something around, and the feet are more of just stationary objects, but CAN be pushed around.

Overall, I think it's a great start. I'm not entirely sure what the end goal is for how the body parts will interact. Based off of the artwork and title, I was sort of expecting you to be able to throw your body parts over an obstacle and get re-assembled on the other side. Not sure if my understanding of the direction of the game is wrong, or if it just hasn't been implemented yet.
