IT SAYS POLLY GONNE TEST STILL IN THE URL BUT ITS FINISHED! I HOPE YOU GUYS LIKE MY GAME PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THIK EVEN IF ITS NEGATIVE THIS IS MY FIRST GAME JAM AND IM REALLY NEW TO GAME DEV SO I HOPE I DID WELL AND ID LOVE SOME FEEDBACK!!!!!
I'm making seriously good progress on the game (and really improving at my musical skills I think) :) and I hope you guys are looking forward to it with me! I just finished up the casino area and it's music, which you'll get to enjoy in the next update, and after that is one final level: the popcorn level! Man I've learned a lot while doing this- and I'm so excited to finally be almost done, I've got a lot of sprites to draw and stuff, but I'm basically almost done now... phew!
Here's a lil look at the paperwork themed world I added last minute, I think it looks really good :) and sketch pal looks absolutely adorable hehe- The lil dragon was actually originally a request my boyfriend made because he finished editing some of one of my books for me so I like to thank him by drawing him things <3 the dragon is made of paper!
thank you so much! I have a few test builds out already that are already playable (with a few levels) so I'm gonna submit it and just keep updating then if that's okay! I really hope you guys end up enjoying it this is my first game jam and I've gotten pretty ambitious :) This is so much fun I'm definitely doing game jams in the future ^_^ and thank you SO MUCH for the swift response WOW that was fast! thank you for your time!!!!
Hey so my game that I still need to submit is in progress and while the road trip does include a car (a talking friendly one at that) the main focus on the road trip isint the driving part but the desinations along the way and the interesting things that you can do while on road trips and the locations are heavily inspired by common vacation destinations (especially if posssible, tourist trap ones, such as a las vegas inspired, area 51 gas station inspired , and multiverses largest popcorn ball stuff, to give some actual examples)
I really love how it's coming along but I am a bit worried since its more focused on the things that make up the journey of a road trip than the road trip itself it might not be quite what the games looking to do, I could probably add a car driving minigame in between levels but that would be kind of difficult given I'm working with a sort of half 2d half 3d art style! thanks for your time!!!!
WHOA thank you so much for taking the time to respond and so quickly! This is all really great advice! you're so kind! I really look forward to seeing what you come out with next! Good luck on your projects! And thank you so so so much for offering to let us ask questions! If we ever get too stuck it's great to know there's someone who knows what they're doing we can turn to! Thank you s much Grunt! I hope you have a blessed day, thank you again! <3!
I just wanted to say thank you, this tutorial's super helpful and if you don't mind me asking how'd you learn all these tricks? I recently teamed up with a buddy of mine to speed up and generally improve the lil furry rpg game thing we're making and we're struggling a lot with character creation because we want to get it right, you know? but neither of us know much about layered images, we may be missing something in the documentation or something, and any tips you have would be super appreciated! its okay if you don't have the time to though no pressure. this tutorial alone is SO SO SO Helpful, this is AMAZING and honestly probably one of the best tutorials on the internet for using layered images (especially the more advanced tips!) thank you so much for taking the time to make this <3 you're a treasure!
