What inspired the idea for your game?
Warcraft Rumble! I remembered it because you play with miniatures and thought hey the gameplay isn't too complex, so let's try to recreate it
What did you enjoy the most? (coding, art, music, whatever!)
My favorite part is always picking/making music, editing SFX and adding visual polish
What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome during the jam?
Creating 3d models that looked somewhat okay-ish with the very little skill I have in modeling
I was very impressed with the visuals! The game has very good vibes overall and I enjoyed walking around looking at the animals on display.
I didn't quite understand what you're supposed to do. My guess was using the notebook to connect the animals to their source of food, but there was simply not enough information on what you actually had to do. One could also just guess which name belonged to what animal. All in all a very difficult challenge to achieve with only a few lines of information per animal and I didn't complete the game.
I really like how you can spin the planet around to explore it (I made a similar game last jam!). It was a bit confusing at first what to build but it made sense when I saw it's similar to most factory games.
The visuals are quite nice and I could tell quite some effort went into them, as was for the music as well. I didn't quite understand if there was a goal to achieve though, so building felt a bit pointless.
Interesting use of the theme. The game has a bit of everything, but despite having a few combat mechanics that should could be interesting, they don't really work as the enemies just spam their attacks, making the best strategy to just try to attack faster than the enemy and not die first.
I really enjoyed the music by the way!
