If you cannot find the next key to progress.

  • Go to the bathroom
  • look at the bath
  • use the bath

Thanks for playing. Normally I work in a duo, but we decided to do our own games for this Jam. So this was a completely solo effort. I’ve since made a change to the game to not require the looking into the bath to be able to get the study key. I really hope you and the others who missed the key are able to come back an experience the ending, as it really ramps up.

My best friend also developed a game for this jam, 3:46am. I recommend it highly

Weird, I’ve played it a bunch of times and never had that. There is a key in the bath, at the moment you need to look and then use, ie right mouse and then left mouse and that will give you the study key

Nice rage game, loved that the checkpoints weren’t too far apart. I was hooked from the moment I started playing. The difficulty ramped up just nicely.

I stumbled my way off the map, and was walking for a while under the map. I still couldn’t stop playing as I love exploring. Had a very original prince of persia esque feel in some spots.

Still don’t quite know what I’m doing, but I had fun playing. I like the idea of not using a wall of text, but you need to find a way to inform the player what is happening. Mechanics worked well though.

fun game, again the first few levels were slow, and I nearly gave up, but got more fun past level 4.

A tutorial could have helped here, and the hitboxes would have been great to have been just around the feet, rather than the upper body as well. All in all, a satisfying game though.

Gameplay super engaging, sound effects great, loved the music. You’ve got a really good game going here. Good job.

Interesting puzzle mechanics. Good work making a 3D game. I really liked your dither shader

The art was pretty and the color choice great. As others have mentioned the tank controls were a little difficult. A tutorial would have been nice, but I understand as it’s a game jam and you got what you got done. Nice job.

When I first started playing I thought I had to run my robots electricity down so I was running away hoping to get it down. Then i realised that I just had to play keep away. In its current form I just let a bunch of humans touch me until there was like 10 left and then I’d run away again. Cool concept, just needs a little more challenge. Nice art and audio work, and the narrative was great.

This was a fun puzzle platformer. I have a couple of notes

  • Would have liked some sort of feedback as to when I had electricity.
  • Needed some way to determine which plug I was getting electricity for.
  • Would have preferred to start from the beginning of the current level when I died.
  • Oh the state doesn’t seem to clear on death, so you can just use the previous electricity you collected and waltz through the levels.

Other than that, nice art and music. I can definitely see this being a larger game.

Great job on the game, I found it really quite difficult as it’s not my usual sort of game. But I didn’t let that stop me playing. Great job.

Loved the look of the game and the bankshots you could pull off. shame you ran out of time for audio, as the rest of the game is a banger. Nice work

Thanks for the kind words.

The game was lots of fun and the zip lines were fantastic. Loved the tutorial. Well polished game and I agree with the other comments about a rebind, or optional controls because my hand was cramping by the end.

Nice work.

I know that feeling.

Thank you for those kind words. I paid particular attention to getting the walk right for all the different surfaces. I was hoping to use the breath sounds to show more panic whenever things happened but of course time got the best of me.

I’m currently working on the VR version which I’ll look to incorporate all these suggestions. Which I’ll then backport into the post jam version.

Once I had put all the basic parts that were required, I spent so much time getting the audio and a few bugs fixed up that I ran out of time to add more interactables and places to investigate.

you can find the other key in the bath. you need to look first, then use the bath. that will get you through

I got smashed on the first level, and then I got the rhythm and didn’t get hit again. Loved that the bodies slowed you down, but jumping did make it easier to not get hit.

Very polished game. The puzzles were great and well telegraphed. Really enjoyed the music and everything. Well Done.

Great animations and fun builder. I had a good arsenal building but was let down in Wave 8 by a new spell that I didn’t quite understand.

I suck at bullet hells, but this one was sooo much fun. The music was a little too chill for what was going on. But the gameplay was spot on. Well done.

Loved the tech tree and the attention to detail. Was hard at first to determine what exactly was happening, but once I got the hang of it, it was great. A tutorial level in the future might help clear up exactly what is happening. But great job for a 10 day jam.

I enjoyed solving all the puzzles. Music was great and I like that forks can climb ladders. Made solving the puzzles easier. Definitely had to think with some of the puzzles. Well done.

Interesting puzzle game, the mechanics worked really well. The 14 available levels were good. Well done.

Fun platformer. I did manage to escape the death barrier on the left hand side of the screen, so I had to start from the very start again. But good to see more people use Dialogue Manager by Nathan Hoad. It’s my favourite dialogue manager that I’ve used so far. Cool narrative. Well Done

Enjoyable game with a couple of control issues. Escaping the floating eyes was fun, and I liked the idea of the light giving you hints on where to go next. Great job!

My first playthrough I might have wasted a lot of time on that wire puzzle. My second I made the household go bankrupt. Well done.

I had planned more but 10 days was more limiting than I expected. I get your point about looking and using. I’ll see how simplifying feels. I come from a very point and click heavy childhood so looking and using is what I expect.

Thanks so much for playing and the feedback.

And as for the hint… anytime (but you shouldn’t have needed it if I had actually telegraphed it better.)

Ok yeah, I’m hooked. It’s a shame about the web version scaling. But I found a zoom level that worked for me. I beat both songs and managed an FC on the tutorial in my 5 minutes. well done.

The artwork and plot were great. I enjoyed playing, although as everyone else said, I too had to turn the music and sound right down.

Well done.

Really good concept and execution. Music made it chill and I really enjoyed playing. Well Done

The game was good fun, but definitely could have done with a small tutorial at the start, rather than having to go through the settings to find out the keys. Other than that I’ve definitely enjoyed my time playing through.

The polish on the main menu was sooo good. The gameplay was dynamic and the different control schemes was super impressive.

As others have noted the ui in the game was hard to read, so a tutorial wouldn’t have gone astray.

Haha, during testing I had a sprint function turned on. but it broke the timings of the animations. But you are right it does make it scarier / creepier being slow.

Grandma broke her phone and blamed me. It’s always the way isn’t it. You promised terrible audio, terrible hints and two endings and delivered. Well done

Wow, what a cool idea for a puzzle game. Found that the intro cinematic was hard to read when the game wasn’t full screen. which when it opened in the other browser it wasn’t. Didn’t effect the rating though.
