Thank you for the kind words!

I dont consider myself to be to talented in the art department but I tried my best so I'm very glad you liked it.

Cheers!

Thank you very much!

Thanks!

Thanks for playing and the thoughtful feedback!

I definitely put a lot of thought into how I could make the player understand how Will must have felt contextually in a brief moment of time.

I've read the notion that game design as a form of artistic expression is a great avenue for us to confront our fears. With this particular release, I believe I attempted to do that.

Finding joy in game dev and everyday things, take care!

Sorry it made you dizzy! I really wanted to double and triple down on feedback indicators to the player that the connection to the physical world was straining.

Thanks for playing, cheers!

This is really well put together, one of the most unique entries I've seen so far. Love the idea of a recursive coffee machine god. Thanks for sharing!

Great game! Very good atmosphere and I really loved the shadow-platform mechanic.

Nothing wrong with using free assets for such a time constrained project! Thanks for sharing. :)

Good visuals and audio! It was a little tough to figure out the controls implicitly so I think a tutorial would have helped a lot in my individual experience. I do love the theme and concept. It felt a little hard to get the spirits to keep following you because when you change your character direction the flashlight changes with you.

Overall a nice submission, thanks for sharing!

Elegant and beautiful. Cheers!

Well this downright addictive. Added it to my collection so I can play it later, kudos! :)

This was a really fun and peaceful experience, I played about 7 levels of it before moving on. If you had the interest to build on it after the jam I think your core concept is really strong for a "full" game. Great art style too!

(1 edit)

Thanks!

I made all the assets from scratch so I very much had to cut the scope of the project down to bone. Even the audio was direct lined guitar and foley recordings of a vent fan and some water dripping into a sink, followed by some basic audio engineering tricks.

Had I not lost so many hours due to the holidays I would have included some logic puzzles, more interactable environment pieces as well as some additional visual storytelling art. I really wanted to animate some of the environment too, but c'est la vie.

Appreciate the play and feedback, cheers!

Much appreciated! The spirit is the first thing I've ever animated, glad you liked it.

Thanks!

Thank you!

Loved the art and the theme was cool! I found it a quite challenging though, once you fall the first time the screen kind of moves faster than the character and get sort of stuck. There's also a fair chance its a skill issue on my end.

Would have loved controller support but understanding time constraints and that aside, great game. The folder intro/menu was a super slick touch. Cheers!

This is a cute game! I loved the art style, my wife and I had a dog that passed recently after 16 years and we recently had it in us to get a new puppy. So short story shorter, this hit home - thanks for sharing!

Loved it, very neat mechanics. The learning curve was perfect, well implemented learn-while-you-play. Music was cute, and so was the art. Did you make both yourself?

The art is amazing but I got stuck after sitting down, missing assets error. Would love to play it again after the jam though if you decide to update it.

Cute and fun! Love the music, whole thing felt oldschool NG reminiscent -- did you compose the music yourself?

Game looks great, added it to my collection for after the jam.

Great visuals and audio! The twisted art was super creepy. Performance was a little harsh for my machine, a fair bit of stuttering when I first launched. Otherwise great job, cheers!

Unique concept! I really liked the music, did you compose it?

Loved the particle effects, playing it solo proved a bit difficult but the mechanics are pretty nice! Good job, cheers!

Great concept and execution, loved the audio. Cheers!

Great game! As others have mentioned the tutorial was implemented perfectly so kudos on that- music was a cherry on top.

Great game! I liked the way you progressively get stronger and faster as you progress, really tied the theme together. Did you make the animations and particles yourself? They're really good!

Thank you very much. As a solodev I wanted to make something impactful while keeping the scope extremely lean. Glad you enjoyed, I'll check out your submission tonight. Cheers!

Thanks, glad you liked it!

Thanks! I was going for a short punchy experience, glad you liked it. I'll check out your submission when I get off work. - Cheers!

Loved it, can't go wrong with a cat companion. The music was super cute and atmospheric.

Frog, worm, money. Will forever be apart of my brain, honestly, put these on a shirt. Great experience, had me giggling like a kid!

Cool concept and fun to play! I was able to just walk off the edge to the side and disappear, and as the others mentioned you can kind of cheese your way up if you want to. But truly a fun concept, I would encourage you to build off the idea if you feel up to it after the jam.

Thank you very much!

Really amazing stuff, great art style and audio. Great storytelling!

This is incredible and beyond my expectations when it comes to polish. Love the art, music and SFX. Can't say much more than WOW!

Loved it! Felt very satisfying to mix the colors and the audio work was top notch. Kudos!

Cute game, great submission!
