Hello, thank you for playing! I've teamed up with my dog, he was meant to do the sound effects but ultimately fell shot :( Since it was a bit hard for him to google stuff with no hands

Mere words can not comprise the ethereal experience this game has offered me

Thank you for playing, will definetly do more complex attacks and combos if I do decide to continue with this project!

Hello, unfrotunately since it's my first finished project, it was held together by glue and sheer determination. The audio system would cause sporadic crashes for the web build and I didn't have the time to fix it in time :( Thank you for playing though!

https://shroom-kid.itch.io/trials-of-the-flesh I think I've already played yours

Mr Hobo, it was a nice and pleasant platformer, you should try to add perhaps gravity to the jump, as in acceleration as you go down + perhaps one more core mechanic besides the spikes? Also the music was pretty nice

I'm in the middle of playing it and I have one criticism: I wish that you could have chosen for the monke not to follow the direction of your mouse, but the direction of your character instead if you very well choose to play solely from the keyboard . But the hurt animation is so funny =))) Also how cheeky he looks when he is holding something

Thank you for your eloquent response! I wish I would have made less battles in order for it to not feel as tedious + make the enemy perform some combos, yet I was not able due to time matters since I animated them myself (besides one of the characters).  Actually you're the first person to report that bug with the sanctuary thingy, I'm unaware to why that is lmao, thank you

I've seen it today on stream, the atmosphere was on point. The visuals as well, I do hope we'll get an extended version eventually

For play testing purposes it was the goal for the player to not die and have a broken build, although I could have made it a bit harder, as in those poor fellas were getting oneshotted . I was in the middle of designing a tradeoff system, but couldn't come up with something more creative than: get this item and lose this stat, so I scrapped the ideea for now, yet I'll keep that in mind, thank you for playing!

That is correct, I've made the stamina and parry really broken for play testing purposes, but like many people pointed out, I've sugarcoated the player too much and you basically use the same strategy, thank you for playing!

I must say the controls need a little tweeking. As in I do understand a momentum-based punishing system, you get too much in a certain direction, you lose control. Yet I feel like if I went 1 pixel in a certain direction, I would need to hold the counter key for 6 seconds before it would stop the momentum

https://shroom-kid.itch.io/trials-of-the-flesh It's a game about your kind friend tumor, very family friendly

The controls felt really good, the kills were satisfying, yet I would have loved to see another mechanic in order to make the further levels a bit distinct. As in level 4-8 felt pretty much the same

By the way did you draw the assets yourself?

By the way did you draw the cover

To be honest the feedback for the strike is nice, yet it's a bit clunky. Maybe you could have made the unity particles pixelated as well instead of the default unity ones

Really cute game tbh

Super Bard Quest 3 when

LMAO my bad, next time I'll read other replies before writing down my input

This puzzle game proved yet again what an 70Iq well versed indidual I am. Forgot to write the criticism: faster movement would have proven a bit better

The whole premise is really amusing, but I do think it needs prettier UI and better feedback

At first I was like: Wait this game is a bit unintuitive, but then I locked in and stopped being a dumbass. To be honest no criticism comes to mind, it executes well what it's particulary meant to and I had a lot of fun!

I will keep that in mind, thank you =)))

To be honest it has potential, yet the healing thingy seems rather unbalanced

Well it's not really that you need to make the game easier, you must give the player the impression that's his fault for dying.

There are no words to describe this masterfully crafted ethereal experience

Hello, thank you so much for your feedback, I'll write it a bit bigger but you can skip it with "ESC"! Regarding sound, it was bad organisation on my part, didn't manage to do it in time

Unfortunately on certain browser versions you get softlocked due to the game scenes not loading properly, thank you for bringing this up, by pressing 'INSERT' you can get unstuck. What gameplay tweaks did you have in mind?

It is not a problem from your part, I simply did not really have the time to add sounds since I focused on making my game playable. Although I wish I had invested a bit into sound design. Since it was my first game jam I had managed my time horribly and did not really lay out a plan :( Thank you for playing!

I may say, I'm usually not really a fan of voice acting especially in indie games, yet it went well with the actual athmosphere.  If I were to complain about something it would be me not figuring out certain minor aspects regarding game (but that's just me being a dumbass)

Unironically I think it's one of the most technically challenging games from this game jam

Everything that entails soundtracks, overall presentation really really cohesive and it's honestly just a really dopamine inducing rage game, the tree top collisions are my sole issues

I have found this game really triggering for not censoring the word j*b

I really enjoy the cohesive visuals, yet I still do feel the fact that the physics need a little bit of tweeking in order for the game to reach it's full potential

Not going to lie, this has had me hooked despite the fact that I usually avoid puzzle games + the puzzles don't really seem repetitive. Overall great elements that are really well put together

A masterfully crafted tutorial. I tried to eat candies and spikes in real life, didn't work out that well for me

Thank you so much, I do think it is the best game I have ever played!

I have tried to implement it, yet unfortunately it was really buggy since I have accumulated a lot of technical debt
