Bro youre into pony fucking. You are avsolutely choosing to get offended while you actively fetishize things most people find repulsive.

try to be a tad more self aware that youre literally picking fights for no reason

This jam is a little more off the rails than the other jams and you choose to get upset over a gradeschool petty word. I feel like youre throwing stones in your own glass house here.

Glad to be a part of this project!

yep! Every level is +1 cat for you to take care of, and if the cats destroy too much stuff, you lose all the money youve earned.  Once it hits 0 you lose :3

I havent had any planned yet, I'm pregnant and expecting so probably not hosting another one for a while

this jam wasnt a competition but more of a networking opportunity

add menon discord? Same useename as here

my style ia hand drawn 2D anination, not pixelated

hey i didnt end up making a team for this jam, anyone want to team up? Im just an artist so if you need some art for this project let me know!

since theres been such a low turnout, i changed the rules to include single participants, also this jam allows past projects as well so hopefully we will still see a lot of canadian original content :)

I didnt end up making a team either if you wanted to team up, join the discord

Im turning comments off because its been 6 months with no real comments and jjst spam to be removed daily.

feel free to meaaage me on discord if you have any questions

Shiashnaky

Thank you very much for the input its much appreciated.

Interesting! I like the interesting and sexual twist you put on the well known matching game!

Thanks so much for helping me make this game with you! It was a blast working with you and I hope we can expand on this! :D

you added shiashnaky? I didnt get a friend rq

any devs wanna add me on discord?

Same username

send again? I didnt get it

you still looking for a team?

sounds great? Add me? Shiashnaky

The puzzles were really interesting and the art style was also very pleasant, else than that i just wish there was a story motive but this has been seriously comfy

What an endearing little story, a new friend and a happy ending! Love the work you did putting different expressions according to the dialogue, and animations like Maize butting in front of the librarian. Wonderful work! You ought to be proud!

hey! Im shia, the creator of this game jam. I hope to find a devoted team that will go on after this jam to form an indie game dev company.

Im a 2D artist, you cna see my work here

Canadian Game Jam

A game jam focused on collaboration with other Canadian game devs, and providing a collection of Canadians together for easy networking.

Dates:

Canadian jam #1

March 1st is the theme announcement

March 14th is when game submissions are due

March 21st is when public voting is over and winners are announced on stream

Starts and ends on Fridays.

A 2 week long jam that ends before Canadian Spring break ends so students can use the break to crunch and still have a weekend of their break when it's over.

Canadian jam #2

October 4th is the theme announcement

October 18th is when game submissions are due

October 24th is when the public voting period is over and winners are announced on stream.

Starts and ends on Saturdays.

Another 2 week long jam with the Canadian Thanksgiving Long weekend in the middle so there is a long weekend and then a few days before the deadline crunch.

Don't wait until the last day to submit the game to the jam!!!

You and your teammates need sleep!

Export and compile your game first thing in the morning on the 2nd last day, because uploading to itch.io is a lot of work too! You need an appropriate game description, proper credit to your team, a video uploaded to demonstrate the game and whos to say there won't be some much needed troubleshooting involved to make it work in the browser at the last minute!!!

Compiling your game and uploading to itch.io can be a whole days work if you're new to it, so don’t leave it to the last hour!

Glad to have helped make this game come to life!

yes it would only work when i downloaded it, and even then it ran my pc hot.

Having a hard time figuring out how to select which side i want the coin on, it seems to only work when i hit x off the area i want to select and does nothing when on it?

Absolutely amazing that you solo'd this in a week. hope to see more from you in the future

Something is wrong with the game because this game is unrealistically hard to render on my PC.
I couldn't load on webgl (would crash the tab and break webGL for any other process until i restarted my browser) so I downloaded it, and when i run it, my GPU/CPU gets really hot and it runs all my fans at full.  I have ryzen 9 processor 3.8GHz 12 core and 16 gbs of ram, I could run monster hunter wild beta test with less overheating issues, so i don't think it's a hardware issue on my end. I'm not a tech person but i think there's a memory leak somewhere

oh its fine.haha.

Just have a the swap chassis button prompt pup up when youre near the suits, or at least have it so you cant damage an empty suit

thank you!

yea the hitboxes need to be refined a bit. I plan to fix this up by next month

it was inspired by the great mouse detective scene

I absolutely love this game, Its so fun to noodle around ate bite stuff, hope to see more games from you like this!

🐭🧀

Thank you! Originally we were going to call it escape from Nimh (inspired by Secret of Nimh) but decided to have a more unique title. It says NIMH in the background a few times though

Ah I see! skill issue on my end lol
