I had an inkling you were a teacher from your reviews😄. So glad I was right. These spaces are so perfect for people in the Videogame Music making sphere to have fun

The more you love something, typically, the more it hurts when you fail at achieving your goal. Music touches our souls, and we want to make songs like that. For me, that means playing, being like a kid, experimenting, laughing when something sounds awful. I am pretty bad at that in practice, but I’m trying. I’m glad you participated in the Jam Mr.Bean, and hope you submit another song the next time Brainless hosts something.

That guitar sounds so groovy, and quite franky, vibey

I feel like I'm cooking in a very small kitchen while listening to this music

Brainless - the San Andreas special

I feel like the bass should sound more full in this song, the main melody sounds amazing, but kind of empty.  The sound choice and percussion fit an amazing vibe. That transition from 51-55 is so smooth, it sound so uniquely cool.

Like others have said, there is some mastering stuff that could be tweaked around with this song to polish it off, but your base is already there and very sturdy. This sound so pleasant to me, the tape distortion reminds me a lot of the Omori ost.

The panning of the background synth really makes this interesting to listen too, though, the percussion is giving big corporate slideshow music vibes. The chords you chose work great for a passive to positive vibe

It feels like the opening credits to either a simple game, or something disguising itself as a simple game. Its simple, but the melody is effective

Thanks! I'll check it out

I use this as a pallet cleanser between rating other songs

What did you use for the main melody? I really like the sound of it,  all of the slides add so much character.

EvilJazzTownTheme.mp3, I love listening to all the unconventional places you went with this piece.

I am in awe at that beginning

If I were human, I think I would die of it

100% feels like a starter theme, like you have a long road ahead

The more I listen to this song, the better it gets. I could totally play a game with this in the background playing for a long time

This is the definition of ear candy

I genuinely love the melody in pt.2 sooooo much

I would love to know what you are using for effects and plugins (not that I could assemble them as well as you)

(1 edit)

Best hidden gem of the Jam. I really think you should be in the top 10. You blend all the sounds you are using together so smoothly. I'm in awe. Easiest all 5/5

The chords you chose make it sound very mysterious and whimsical. The percussion fits perfectly with your nature theme and really ties it together

That is SUPER loud, but other than that I really like the main synth, it gives it a gritty feeling.

Thank you Mr.Sponge🫡

lol, this is so funny

The whimsey is off the charts with this one 🔥

I love the panning on the (kalimba?). It's such ear candy, and totally what I would image crystals sounding like

Perfect background music, it sets the mood while not being too obtrusive

When its peak, you'll do anything to listen😎

This feels like a very silly standoff

Very well orchestrated! I would love hearing this in any videogame!

This is so cool, you keep a consistent theme of quiet unease while letting each instrument have its own turn developing the melody.

This song just makes me happy in its chaos, its so silly

Even though its simple, I really like how the third song developed 😊

I would have loved to hear that base a little louder, it sounded super good. I love the ending strum (event though it would be looped in context.

That space-y synth sounds so cool, I didn't know it could work with a beach vibe like that so well

You really developed your ideas well, I loved how you kept with the same guitar motifs throughout the song, evolving around them.

This [AUDITORY EXPERIENCE] really threw a [LOBSTER] into my review. 10 Cephalopods/ 8 Decapods
