Hi! I just wanted to check in and see if a bundle for sale with our games was still happening. Thanks for all you do!

Hi everyone! I’m Chance, aka Shark0chie (he/him). I’ve been making games for about a year now, and feel I just kind of follow whatever idea fancies my interest. I hosted my first game jam from July to August and it was a lot of fun! I’m excited to cobble something together for this jam!

The use of the artwork and the font selection lend to a specific aesthetic, which is highlighted in the established setting--the current system is broken, and the current world must die so that a new, better one can be reborn from it. There's lots of interesting dynamics to play with in the created world, as many normal people may regard the player characters as villains for breaking the status quo, even if they themselves acknowledge the system is broken. The established roles and the selection of backgrounds also allow players to provide opportunities to set their characters narratively and mechanically apart from one another. I think the mechanics of Apotheosis and Sealing are also unique hurdles for players to try to overcome in gameplay. This is a really phenomenal work, and I hope the creator feels proud of what they've made, and I am proud to have it as a submission to my first ever game jam. I'd love to get a group together and play this game someday!

The cover art and character sheets are a love letter to the aesthetics of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other 80s/90s Saturday morning cartoons. The archetypes and backgrounds sections also reference key characters from these media sources (The Leader/Leonardo, The Mentor/Master Splinter, etc.). The introduction by Mr Ray about surviving as "Them" when the world is made for the "Us" was particularly touching. I am very thankful Mr Ray graced the Spirit of Rebellion game jam with this submission, and I hope they are very proud of what they have created. Can't wait to get a group together and play it someday!

We are coming up on the final day of this Game Jam!

I hope everyone had a great time making something and are proud of your progress. I can't remember the exact quote, but when you are living in a world or space that wasn't made for you, even existing is an act of rebellion.

Keep showing up for yourself. Even if you decide not to submit anything for the Game Jam, keep showing up for yourself.

Again, I hope everyone had a good time, and there may be more Gam Jams in the future!

The period for the Jam came and went and didn't even go live because we were held up by people not approving. I've emailed the host and haven't heard back.

Anyone know anything?

Thank you so much! Glad to be a part of it :)

Played this game as part of a group for a podcast recording (QueerXP), and it was really fun and I had an awesome time! I lost almost all of my campers within the first five minutes. 10/10 would perish in a End Time-style apocalyptical event again.
