FEEDBACK PLEASE MEANS A LOT

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on a browser-based dark fantasy idle RPG called Tarnished Idle and I’d really appreciate some honest feedback.

You can play it here:

PASTE YOUR ITCH LINK HERE

It’s an idle/clicker RPG built around slow-grindy progression, boss gates, equipment, lore, road events, music, sound effects, quests, and a gothic dark fantasy world. The game is playable in the browser, so there is no download needed.

I’m mainly looking for feedback on:

- Does the first 10–20 minutes feel clear enough?

- Is the UI readable and easy to understand?

- Does the balance feel too slow, too fast, or about right?

- Are the boss gates and progression satisfying?

- Do the music/sound effects fit the atmosphere?

- Did you notice any bugs, layout issues, missing images, or save problems?

- Does the game page itself look appealing enough to make you want to try it?

This is still a public beta, so any feedback would genuinely help me improve the game before I keep expanding it.

Thank you to anyone who gives it a go.

THE GAME

Hi everyone,

I’ve just uploaded the latest public beta of my first game, Tarnished Idle, and I’d really appreciate any feedback at all.

It’s a dark-fantasy browser idle RPG where you claim runes, buy buildings, fight bosses, collect equipment, unlock lore, and slowly push deeper into the world. It has boss battles, inventory, Skill Arts, a Build Tree, quests, road events, music, sound effects, ambience, and a gothic UI style I’ve been working hard on.

This is my first proper game project, so I know there will still be things to improve, but I’m genuinely proud of how far it has come. I’d love help from anyone willing to test it and tell me what works, what feels confusing, what feels too slow or too fast, or anything that looks broken.

Feedback I’d especially appreciate:

  • Is the early game clear enough?
  • Does the UI make sense?
  • Do the boss fights feel readable?
  • Is the pacing okay?
  • Are the menus easy to understand?
  • Does the game feel rewarding enough?
  • Did you run into any bugs with saving, audio, menus, or progression?

Even small comments would help me a lot. I’m trying to keep improving it carefully and turn it into something genuinely enjoyable.

Thanks to anyone who gives it a try.

Thanks so much for feedback really appreciate it. I will sort today I've been working all night on content and will make the game less grindy as i completely agree.
