Life gets in the way, and solo dev projects feel it harder than most. Similar boat I was just in, here. Get well soon!

Well, I think it needs more content for sure, and some audio. It's easy to forget how important that is. The game is definitely lacking some pizzaz.
But you know, it was put together enough so that I could actually finish it, and that's a good thing. Like others said below, if you're new to game dev, this is a good first stepping stone.
I really like this one - I think the box making mechanic is a pretty neat idea, I like the cute look of the main character, and I liked the audio!
Really, I think the biggest weakness is that I'd put more platforms lower down at the beginning to make it slightly easier to start and then get progressively harder, but that might honestly be a matter of personal preference.
I have to say well done on this one!
Oh, and I also liked how the boxes had physics when getting hit by the cannonballs; that made for an interesting surprise while building!
I really like the music, and I don't know what it is, but I really like the colors with the black and white background! It just kind of speaks to me.
I noticed that some things seemed like they weren't working as intended, like how the charge attack doesn't actually charge when you hold it - you have to click it for each segment to charge.
But honestly, that's such a small thing. The game loop does seem to be complete like WatsonZzz said! I think it's a good solid foundation, to be honest.
I like the shooter aspect (after all, I submitted one myself)! Also, the graphics were cute, and I really liked how the title screen was done and the menu transition.
I think the biggest issue is the lack of audio in the main game which pulls away from the feel, and I'm not really sure how it fits into the theme of the jam, unless I'm missing something.
Oh and I didn't find any bugs, so that's always a plus!
It got pretty fun once I realized I could swing to get further! I haven't seen a game like this that uses physics on a ragdoll to climb, so I thought that was pretty cool!
I think there should be more points or something to get to keep motivation up for climbing, and it could use some music.
Other than that though, it's entertaining and an interesting concept!
I really liked the sound and overall vibe of the audio, especially the music. I actually think the concept is pretty interesting, although I admit I'm not entirely seeing why it's bugs we're fighting. But the overall retro vibe is pretty cool.
The main things I'd consider changing would be making each level just a tiny bit bigger so we have more room to run around, and just adding some hit effects like shake, flash, and/or sound when hitting enemies to make it more obvious we're actually doing damage.
Other than that, though, I really like the look and vibe of it, and I can tell you spent a good amount of time on making the levels look nice!
The game looks pretty simple at first, but I was pleasantly surprised at how addictive it is! I think the overall theme of being an employee at work dodging the boss to survive is funny, the sounds were satisfying, and the music was catchy. I was honestly not expecting to be this entertained by it!
I think the biggest issue is that it doesn't have credits attached; even if you made all the assets yourself (in which case, bravo, especially for the music), you should probably put credits somewhere so that people know you have all the rights to them.
Ah, I found the controls! I just didn't look for them in the right place.
I also think the grappling hook is a cool mechanic! It was just confusing at first because when you first throw it, it looks kind of like a snowball before it sticks. The hook does make it more interesting with the puzzles. Really the biggest thing I found was a bug where sometimes if you jump and throw the pickaxe, you'll keep slowly floating up forever, but that's easily fixed with a restart.
I'll definitely bump the score up now.
But yeah, the colors and cuteness of the character are the strongest parts, in my opinion! Thanks for posting it.
I do quite like the simplicity of the graphics and color scheme, and the mouse and how it's animated is cute. There seems to be a bug, though, and I couldn't get past this point early on:
I don't know if it's actually a bug, but I couldn't get up through the other side either with faces on the boxes. I was also a little confused if I was missing controls or something, because I found the button that throws snowballs but it didn't seem to do anything other than make a sound.
Is there a trick I just didn't see? I hope that's the case because I would really like to be able to try it further to give better feedback.
I think it hit the mark on the theme, and I only encountered one bug (rocks spawning beyond the collision walls), which is great and definitely more than I can say for my project!
However, I think that there's not much there graphically with all of the grey (although it does make sense for a game with basically all rocks). Unfortunately, I think the graphics combined with the very simplistic gameplay meant it was not a very engaging experience for me.
More importantly than all that, though, the fact that you released a finished project that ran smoothly is more than most people can say! It's a solid first step, pun intended.
Thanks, yeah there's definitely bugs with the wave incrimenter and I think the z order for the map hiding NPCs that popped up when I was rushing last minute. Admittedly, I had a slightly different concept in mind with a very different mechanic, but I kind of forced myself into having to change it up last minute.
Also, I figured it might not be apparent that the "to the top" theme was supposed to be shown from the skeletons "resurfacing" out of their graves to the surface, which I could have elaborated on lol
I should be dropping the first update right after the jam's over and I should have the "real" game loop and mechanic ready by then, if you're interested to check it out!
I think you did very well with polish as I did not find a single bug the whole time, which is REALLY refreshing. I think the UI and Audio are definitely the strongest points, since the UI is clean and easily navigable and the sounds are satisfying and crisp.
Really, I think the biggest weakness all just stems from a lack of content, which of course is a pretty common theme in jams for good reason; on that point it's mostly just small things like not having an in-game indicator for selling to planets (which is something players like me forget a lot, lol) and having more variety to keep going long enough to get upgrades.
Altogether though, it's absolutely a solid entry with the level of polish with no bugs, and if you kept that level of QA with more content added, I'd 100% play this to get my trading fix, no joke.
I'm adding this to my follow list, should you decide to continue with it.
