The UI is very pleasant. Simple in a way that's easy to use however I wish there was an indication on how to get to the menu from in the game. The story was very sweet and straight forward. Easy to connect with.

I felt like i was transported into ispy spooky mansion. For real though, the models were so cool. There was so much style put into them. I'm not sure if I was supposed to like the pumpkin but I'm predisposed to always love a pumpkin character.

I really really really love the music. This is probably my favorite entry in terms of music. It sets the tone perfectly. I normally don't like vocal barks but the way you did them was well fit in with the dialogue so I kept them on. I did have to start over since I was trapped in the setting screen, though. Maybe that's just the web build. Either way, great setting for a story.

Pc 98 vn's are one of my favorite aesthetics. Obviously the ui is a replica of virgin angel's but there are other subtle touches to allude to that era, especially on the aging of the images with little effects. There's so much I was surprised you could do with renpy. The computer interface was crazy. The cg's were my favorite, especially of the one of nova.

Ah, yeah I'm trying to fix that bug. Thanks for playing! Maybe one day they'll get to shoot that beam.

The direction in this was super good! I felt you put alot of care into keeping a consistent look, ie the UI and the way you did the backgrounds. The CGs fit in really well and I love the general color scheme.
I did not guess where the story was going though, lol. I spent most of the game being like, oh so this guy went off to wizard college. Whoops.

I had no idea you could make a rhythm game with renpy! That's so cool. you can just hit the notes multiple times to gain more points than there are notes however. still, im impressed it was able to be done to begin with. (。・∀・)ノ゙

this looks really cool! I love mystery games and this one reminds me of tasokare hotel. The sprites are super cute but feel small? Like in the car scene it felt really off the size compared to how big the seats were. Regardless, I like the ui setup it feels like alot of work went into that.

Thanks for playing! I didn't actually mean to lock the graphics option but uh, if the shoe fits. (。・∀・)ノ゙

thank you thank you!!! I was worried people wouldnt appreciate the ending, I'm so glad you did! \(@^0^@)/

Ah when I saw it was a demo I didn't realize it was quite that short. ⊙﹏⊙∥

I was also pretty shocked by the sudden voice acting lol. I got excited for a minute before it suddenly ended. Guess I'll have to wait til the release to see where it goes.

What I want to appreciate is the sound design. I felt like every click had a fun or appropriate sound response. I really like clicking into nothing and getting a variety of clicking noises. Which is small but I think it speaks to the level detail put into the game design.

I thought the clown design was super cute! In fact the whole art direction was really cute. I hope you make more games in the future. :D

I looked at alot of old pc games for inspiration but I did not see this candyland game and I wish I did, this rules. Thank you :)

Thanks. yeah at the time I only knew the bare minimum of coding. I would have approached it differently if I made it now.

Obsessed with this. I miss this style of game. This hits every note of that style from the art to the sound effects.

Thanks for playing my game! I check the spooktober tag so I actually caught the stream. Having the mc have kidnapped others before would have been a good turning point, I should have thought of that! :)

I have to fix a bug soon so I'll probably see what I can do to fix it. Either way the files should be in the game already.

Hey thanks for playing. I'm going to be real. I used that response as a catch all because I have to manually input the number every time and I just didn't want to do that over and over past 10. Thinking about it, I could maybe have added a way it just passes you but it wouldn't be able to differentiate between a high number and just any other input.

Personally, I don't have a problem with someone who sleeps with alot of people, I just didn't have alot of time and the accuracy of this answer wasn't a priority.

Anyway, this is actually good feedback and gives a perspective I didn't think about. Thanks.

That's so cute! Thanks for playing. :)

The font choice was really just something I had on my computer from forever ago, but I'm glad it worked. I was really on the fence whether people could read it or not. (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

You know that meme of that guy smoking a cigarette out a window? That was me at the ending of this game. (compliment) Glad I went to check to see if there were more than one ending because I got the less crazy one the first time. If you call that hammer scene less crazy anyway...
(。・ω・。)
Anyway, LOVE a mushroom motif. I assume this is to fit with the rotten theme? Or mayhaps a reference to the destroying angel? Either way, very nice.
I think your game would taste like cool whip someone left in the freezer and when you take it out it has those sharp ice crystals in it.

I have a scalpel right here! <3 Mwaah.

Viscerally unpleasant was the exact combination I was looking for, thank you!

I'm so glad you liked it. One thing I think is interesting is how everyone assumes the protagonist to be a male. I took the gender out for the player to project their own gender onto them but they were originally supposed to be a girl lol. It makes sense, but it makes me wonder if taking out the toxic yuri aspect was worth it. \(0^◇^0)/

lol sorry i thought you were joking. I still took it as a compliment.

Thank you sm! Yeah my hands are... still attached. tbh I was worried about it because I was worried I was sacrificing quality by making so many, but I'm glad people like it!

The menu is something I'm trying to fix, it's just fighting me and as long as it works its fine for now.
Anyway I'm grateful you've played it, your game is on my list. :)

U•ェ•*U

You've moved me to tears.

What program did you use to make the art? I like the brush. I'm intrigued by the small glimpse of the world we see. Like there alot more in the background we can't but fantasize about. I feel like your game would taste like a blue raspberry lolipop from the bank(compliment).

Ack, I know, I'm terrible with gui. everytime I go to fix it it straight up breaks the saves. DX

Whoops! I played the one that's on the jam page, I didn't know you had an updated version.

idk if this is an insane thing to do, but I went in and took out the problematic code line to make the game playable. I thought it'd be a shame if no one played your game this month since you worked so hard on it. The slow ring wouldn't work, such is the price of adding so many features, but alot of them worked and looked great. like you did really good with the action editor, personally I have trouble with it. (/▽\)

Anyway, I wanted to play this since I remember your games from last year and wanted to see how much better you've gotten. Though, I do miss the charm of the drawn sprites. However, I like the dialogue, it matches the tone very well. Except you use cunt alot, lol. I'm not offended, it was just so silly!

Your essay style comment has captivated and honored me. Also tysm for playing Matryoshka too! I'm hope the similar themes got beamed into your eyes and mind like that scene from the lighthouse. (⓿_⓿)

Ive never played you and me and her but I guess I gotta now.

The drawing stage was actually the best part, I basically had a formula down to drawing her lol.

Whoops! It's not even supposed to trigger that flag. Thanks for telling me.

I wish i wouldve thought of that!

I believe you.

I'm honored you'd make an account for this, it takes heaven and earth to make me make an account. As a theme enjoyer, I'm glad you grasp the themes.

The closest thing to a jump scare is silent and doesn't have anything scary on screen. So I'd so no.

i really really really like the designs of the characters. They're sort of a level of just detailed enough to be cute but realistic enough to empathize with.
