Hi richardeme - THANK YOU! I appreciate the compliments and thoughts and look forward to hearing about your adventures!
Ah, dungeon building. Admittedly, I've been trying to come up with something other than "samurai exploring western dungeons" and haven't created anything I'm happy with. Yet. But I'm trying!
Yeah, for teams of different backgrounds there's a lot liberties taken with historical accuracy -- but also a great point on common goals. GREAT idea on outlaws or commoner backgrounds (commoner backgrounds for outlaws!). Good way to inspire some adventures out the gate.
- I like that idea and have been kicking some of it around myself (oni-bone nunchaku is one that I've been meaning to get out there). Mythical items are a natural fit, in line with the Sacred Treasures or even playing with degrees of tsukumogami where ordinary objects gain a spirit after 100 years. I'll have to dig up my notes, that's definitely an addendum worth getting out there. Would love to hear how you incorporate these kinds of items and how the mechanics work for you.
Thanks again for the kind thoughts and the fantastic notes!
