I saw that... but I'm really happy this game is getting played.  I didn't get a ton of reviews when I submitted it last year.  And as long as people are enjoying it, I think that it's a happy accident.

Pretty much just I.  I had a friend collect some assets.

It took me a sec to realize what right click was for, but once I did I found the strategy really enjoyable.  Also, the whole storyline aspect of being a spider on a table of dice is super clever!

You're allowed to multilpy too!  Or subtract or divide... it tests an array.reduce((a, b) => a [*+-/] b) of each.  :D  Glad you liked it even without the mulitplication though

Really dig the vibe and the gameplay was fun to think about.  There's a large gap in difficulty between one enemy and two (because getting two lows in a row is much less likely).  But I still really loved the core mechanic, and the aesthetic was very nice in a campy horror way.  Rad game!

It was just some freestyling in C Major.  The real trick was setting up the synth to play string on the mid range notes, and some bass on low range ones.

Thanks for playing multiplayer with me! :D

Super fun.  Took a bit to understand what was going on, but once you get it there's some really nice strategy to it.  I got to the final boss but couldn't figure out what made keys collect and what didn't.  It was really fun though!

First off, the presentation is top notch and I love the creativity.  The game play was really fun with the numbers and math.  I still don't grok how to roll a dice, but by the end of this jam I surely will!

Thanks for playing multiplayer!  It really does make it a lot more fun :D

Thank you.  The music was a last minute addition;  I made it myself after waking up on the last morning.

Pretty neat.  I really loved seeing the cities that other people built!

Thanks for helping me test the multiplayer!

This game feels surprisingly similar to the parts of DnD I quite like.  There's a sense of taking chances, never knowing if you'll outrun the enemy.
Something weird happend and the game that's shown for my submission is wrong.  Here's the correct game:  https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-jam-2022/rate/161814

I submitted this one last year, but something went wrong with itch when submitting my entry for this year... it double submitted.
Here's this years game: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-jam-2022/rate/1618141

Thanks!  It was a good way to test the framework I've been working o

This is my first year with a fully completed game!  And it has online multi-player, which was new :D

It's cut off on itch.io, but just below the play screen is some debug UI about the NPCs.  They have four modes:  ride ass, back off, break check, and escape.

I want to play around with this game a bit more to try to make it aggressively jerkish driving

That's the one thing I felt like we nailed from a creative interpretation angle.

I finished 2 and 3 player modes about 10 min after the close.  Super easy, all one keyboard.  It's pretty fun for something so simple I think.

It never really panned out, due to time stuff.
But the hope was to make it so "riding ass" gave you brake speed, and using brakes reduced it.  In the game, if you drain your pads you'll barely be able to stop... but it was a last minute and incomplete addition.

Yeah, I never actually made the win condition of "be the last of three cars".

But you did win!

Hella fun.    As a person who plays with "flow toys," I really wanted to be able to pull off a "figure 8" or "stall".    So there's plenty of room beyond the clockwise and counter-clockwise for swinging that ball around.

Thanks man!  Getting the AI to be at all decent took a lot more time than expected.

I made this!  With the help of Lucas and Misty, thanks for jamming you guys!

You can also play it here: http://sephreed.me/clock-out/

Really did a great job of making a game based around the theme.

Windows only for those interested

.exe

Can not read property "length" of null.  Drat.

Go Justin!
