thanks so much my dude, lot of valid points you’ve made here, some of which i did acknowledge when posting my submission, but had no more time to tweak. I don’t have a sidechain on the piano, so not really sure what’s causing that effect- but regardless, thanks for the feedback dude! Your submission was killer! :D
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! ;[];
I get what you're saying as far as the melody not being highlighted enough as the main center piece of the music. I'll definitely look out for that next jam! Though I'm glad you find it memorable! :D
don't worry about being too harsh with the rating, haha, this is very generous in my opinion- thank you. I probably could've made the 'legendary weapon' some kind of deadly machine in the lore and made a track based on that. But I was more inspired by this route, even if it's not quite accurate to the jam theme, as you said.
Super glad you enjoyed listening to my submission as much as you did, boss! Thank you so much again! I really appreciate it :D
yoooooo this is sick dude! Love the vibes of this submission! Poetry is super cool, and the melody came through nice and clear as well, wish I could've heard the full poem in song form haha, very well done, super kick-ass song. Though if I may- what the HECK is that plain white text my goat ;[]; hecks no that is NOT the vibe.
good stuff though xd
My brain isn't working properly-- that said, I can still tell this is an amazing composition you've made! I will say the Melody, while very catchy, is somehow also not very memorable to me, maybe I'm just tired, but what hooked me in the song was more so that catchy, groovy 4/4 rhythm-- which sounded hella slick if I might add. The song progresses smoothly, has a lot of variation without conflicting itself at all, and the overall mixing on top of that is quite pleasant. very well done!!!!
The other comments pretty much cover everything I can think of so beyond that all I can say is that; the wind melody is very pretty, and I like the backing piano and constant arp movement, and I really liked that 7/8 sounding groove at 2:18 -- overall a splendid and charming little track, I like how light-hearted and whimsical it is, well done!
This has made me form a very good first impression of your music for sure. This song is sick, dude. Percussion is really nice, I love those ambient pads, and that low choir, all the instrument choice here is really solid, and that melody is extremely cool, especially with that flute counter-melody on top. Well done Boss! I'm very impressed! :D
Very nice and charming track, I love the main melody, which comes through really clear and sets a nice uplifting vibe.
I would have to agree with Eetu about the lack of variation; it could also be good to tweak the volume of the tuba/horn (whatever the deep brass is) to be a tad quieter and then bring the volume back up when the melody comes through-- this is just an idea of course.
Overall, very nice track! I like the anvil-hitting percussion in the back, and the use of only brass instruments is very cool to me, well done! :D
Love this style! got NO clue what the words are, but it doesn't matter cause' it still slaps, that is, of course, unless the description is also just the lyrics, which would make sense if it is, but I am unsure. Really like the percussion on this, and those deep chanting vocals are just so sick. Einel had a great singing part as always, and I like the breather you get towards the end from all the vocals to just immerse yourself in the scene that much further. Well done, you two! bravo, bravo! :D
Love the vibes dude, Mixing quality is amazing, and I would have no clue this was your first try at dubstep type drums, sounded super legit 100% I wasn't too sure how the 808 breakdown part, it sounded mostly nice, but the first 808 tone that came through, and popped up throughout that section, sounded kind of out of tune to me for some reason, for the most part that section was super cool, just that one tone didn't sit quite right with me.
Love the unique interpretation on the theme, whole track was killer dude, well done! :D
Wasn't entirely convinced at the start due to the dry mix, but once the other instruments started to bring all their different flavours, it really brought me to see your vision. I think the jam theme was conveyed perfectly, and your very own story was conveyed perfectly. The melody came through very clearly, the instruments didn't clash, and everything filled out the panning space very nicely. splendid work! Really wish I could hear a fully mixed version of this! Bravo, bravo! :D
I think the instrumental sounds great! And the overall composition was done well, it's hard to grasp a specific melody aside from the voice. If that was the intention, then that's fine, but I find that the voice is very muffled and lost within the noise of the main beat. I can't really understand much of the lyrics being said. I would recommend making it a focus for your next tracks to bring the vocals forward and prioritise giving them space to shine through the actual beat, if that makes sense. Only one more gripe, I feel like the subtle bitcrush that goes throughout the whole song (or whatever that slight buzzing noise is) really kinda muddies up the track a bit. and fills out all the empty space, making the separate instruments less clear.
Besides that, I really enjoyed the vibes of this; overall, the mixing, instruments and composition were really well done. Cover art goes hard, reminds me of Sisyphus Prime from Ultrakill haha, good job boss! :]
This is so clean dude! I was holding off on listening to it on Discord, and it does not disappoint. I love the Legend of Zelda vibes of this. I think each song conveys the story very well and confidently. Your rhythm game was on point for this soundtrack. Melody stands out and isn't obviously repetitive without being too chaotic. The actual jam theme is conveyed perfectly as well. The mix is a bit dry, but that's kind of a retro thing, which I get. I also like how you included loopable versions of some tracks as well. That's a good piece of knowledge i'll probably be trying to use from now on haha.
Well done! :D
I like the melody and the chiptune-esc sounding vibe you've made here. There are some errors that make the song not flow quite right, but if we're just looking at notation, I think you've made something rather catchy.
I think you've nailed the theme as well; it's a very mystical track; I can't give it a high rating for listenability, sadly, but all in all, this is a wonderful track, well done! I hope to see you in future jams!!! :D
synth bass kinda jazzy in "is this even bg music" super spicy, melodic development is nice and interesting without being too random or overbearing, panning and volume is quite well done, sound choice is nice and pleasing on the ears, and also D O G.
Took me a bit to get the vibes of "procrastinated" But it works quite well, the quality is roughly the same as the other track which is good, overall good job boss!
Oh yeah WE are making OUR plan to infiltrate the most secure bank of all time. Super nice vibes, sounds like someone bringing out a whiteboard or blackboard and explaining some complex smart stuff. Love the soundscape you've crafted here, techno vibes go hard, that pad and those synthy chords work really, really well together, and that percussion is super groovy and well done, only complaint is that it doesn't last longer haha, good job Boss! :D
very nice and cute! Owo, I think everything is done quite well here, only gripe I have is that the percussion is a bit confusing to listen to, Sort of goes with its own rhythm rather than following the rest of the song. Usually, you can either try syncing drums to either a BASS or, here, it would work to just sync to the piano chords. Besides that, you've done a great job! I love that nice twangy lead you have, chords are simple but really do their job with setting a nice chill vibe, and also keeping the music moving and pushing the listener forward. Well done! :D
Your sound choice is just fantastic! That brass in the first track gives me huge Touhou vibes, the leads are really well composed, and I love how adventurous and pirate-y the second track sounds! All those dinging percussion sounds are really nice and contrast the more mid-frequency focused points of the tracks quite nicely, overall well done my dude! fantastic job :D
