I’m the author of City Incarnate, and I just wanted to say that it’s immensely touching to have come across this. I am still in the fledgling period of my creative pursuits, and that was doubly true when I made the CYOA in question. Making something for its own sake is gratifying and I feel happy for most of what I’ve made, but the moment my sensibilities sharpen all my old projects confront me with nagging details I would’ve done differently.

All that to say, I don’t think anything has made me feel as affirmed about my creativity as learning thirdhand that someone took time out of their day to make a TTRPG book inspired by a creative project from a wholly different moment in my life. Thank you, sincerely.

I love your details about various relics and the Not-People, the latter would make a perfect ambient detail in some Mieville story. I’ll keep an eye on anything else you do, I like your creative approach! The big question is if I can yank off the bandaid enough to have my friends play this with me; circular point though it is , I certainly wouldn’t have the confidence to ask had your interest not given it to me.
