Significant Updates have taken place.  I have began the Steam Onboarding process.
This game will only be available for free for a short time.

Have updated the trailer and screenshots, have fixed a few bugs and have added additional audio to doors and chests.  Have re-balanced the combat and have added a painted paralax background.

Hopefully this playthrough/review is helpful.

Have Made it so the main character is locked as the party leader

Updated the font and have added an exit to desktop option and fullscreen support

Hopefully this will convince more people to play your project.

have removed the mac build, as I'm not sure that it works.

The music rules, as does the moment-to-moment gameplay.  The dash took a bit of getting used to, but once it all clicked, it really clicked.

It's not something could play for a long period of time, but if I want something quick like Ubermosh or TTV2,
this would be a suitable alternative.

Well done.

I've now updated the main zip file, to clean up an obscure bug I'd over-looked in play-testing (as I'd never did a play-test where I chose the blue pill at the start).

A bit more info:

Soundtrack has been created using mostly Korg: Gadget.

Most buildings can be entered and there are several cities that can be fully explored.

After the main quest, you are free to explore and interact with the world.

Everything can be interacted with and everybody can be talked to.

Initially my main inspiration was Fallout 2, with the open-world being set up in a way not unlike Baldur's Gate (the original, I feel the way exploration works in the first game is better than the 2nd).
Was inspired also by the whimsical attitude of West of Loathing and Shadows over Loathing.

Unfortunately I started on RPG maker and was kinda funneled into turn based combat, but the combat encounters are not random and can be avoided entirely (as there are monsters just running around in the world that you only fight when you touch).

Will begin the work via unity once I've put this on GOG and steam as well and have set up a kickstarter.

I thought this game was unique for having a mechanic where you can eat your dead pets, but then I ended up playing rim-world.

It's been an interesting journey so far and I'm quite happy with how it has turned out, but this is the beginning of something I will dedicate the foreseeable future to.

There was a bug when selecting the blue pill at the start.  The screen wouldn't automatically fade in.
This has been fixed.

Done.  Sorry, I thought I did in the original post.

Hey guys,
I'm new to this whole thing, but I've just uploaded my first game onto itch.io

It's a turn based RPG with hand drawn art.  I intend to make the whole game (not just chapter one) from scratch using unity and replace the turn based combat with hack n slash/bullet hell combat.

Play for free here.  Let me know what you think, I'm rather proud of it.
