Welp, I hope we get to chew him out for how poorly the Omega's are treated. A man who lets that happen under his roof is a beast indeed.

I love this premise! There is something really refreshing in having the ROs already super into the main character, and now the MC has to discover their pasts together... and whether they trust whoever is telling them.
Also I'm a sucker for Bodyguards/Trusted Knights/Personal Weapons etc so Snow is right up my alley.
Can't wait to read more :)
Just got around to playing this new, updated version of the demo... and I'm so freaking excited to play the full game! Every time I get a backer email with an update I stop what I'm doing to read through it.
I loved seeing all the tweaks to character introductions vs the original demo. And to say I'm hooked on this murder mystery is an understatement!
Keep up the amazing work :)
In light mode they are highlighted in green, but in dark mode they're only slightly bolder than the rest of the text. There was a real inconsistency with options too: some cycle when you click on them, some are in a list, some are in drop-down menus.
I had to restart twice because I'd missed an option in character creation before swapping to light mode, and once because on the page you choose your origin (only 1 at the moment of course) it only tells you what the page is for right at the bottom... so I saw some highlighted text and presumed it was a cycling option like the times before. Nope! Took me into the rest of the story. So I restarted only to find out it was the only option anyway.
I agree that the story potential is fab! Could just do with some formatting adjustments to make the experience of reading it better.
I just got this too. If you go with him and meet the dogs, you're specifically introduced to Fern. Then if Crave comes and gets you the next morning, you ask him "Who's Fern?" and he explains she is his dog... and he goes on to ask if you've never seen a dog, even though he showed you them all the previous day.
I absolutely adored this. I was sat at work today, excited to get home to finish where I had left off the previous evening.
I have to say... Aeden's has to be my favourite route. I had fun with all of them, but I felt like Lucas' & Dragan's endings were far too bittersweet for my poor sappy heart! I ABSOLUTELY cried during the ending scene for the two of them.
Also, my favourite character is Pix - I would die for that funky little pollinator. With a close second being Astora herself - sometimes, when a protagonist is already a well established character, there can be a clash between what the player wants and what the character does. I never felt that frustration with Astora. She is strong willed, beloved, and her lack of knowledge/thirst for answers never comes across overly naive. I also love that despite being human(ish), she is generally portrayed as being on an even playing field with the ROs in one way or another.
This was honestly so wonderful. Can't wait to see what you cook up in the future.
How exciting - I have no idea what to expect from his route!
But this also feels bittersweet as this is it for Gilded Shadows, right? (Even though I know its going to be on my replay list forever haha.) Thank you for all your amazing work on this (and Changeling!); I'll be eagerly watching the progress of When Stars Collide!
I'm so so so excited! When Reuben's route dropped I ended up staying awake until 1:30am so I could get through it in one sitting! And then over the next week I played through everyone else's routes again (might have even played some of them a couple of times...).
I love the Gilded Shadows world - I love the Gilded Shadows characters! Can't wait to see what Yuu's route has in store for us.
Sorry for all the replies, but I wanted to pop a fix here in case anyone else runs into a similar problem.
(only a Windows fix unfortunately) once the game is running, hit SHIFT+G and there should be options for RENDERERS. Mine was by default set to "Automatically Choose". I have now set it to one of the options and its fixed.

Hi there! I'm having a strange visual bug...
It started as simple as looking like this when you save over a previous save:

But that was the extent of it for my first run (Ari).
I've started up a second run to move on to Caissa and skipped through some of the common bits I had already seen, and now my main screen looks like this:

Sometimes the dialogue is also funky and unreadable. Loading a save will clear it briefly, but then suddenly the MC will lose her eyes, or something as drastic as Jack happens as above.
I thought perhaps it could be something to do with my PC, but I haven't ever seen anything like this before, and it was almost perfect on my first run (bar the saving screen) and only started during and after skipping.
Anyone have any thoughts?
