Why would I pick up my phone to make a call JUST WHEN someone is probably chasing and trying to kill me? You guys could do a better plot.

 You have to think a lot to manage to teach the girl to survive alone. As a suggestion, you could add more explicit endings for what happened to the girl after her mother dies and add emotional dialogue between mother and daughter. Enjoyable for a short period of time.
