SawyerM#9142

great, want to connect on discord?

hey still looking for a team?

okay, I don't have a clear plan yet, best of luck in the messy coder jam

not currently but I was wondering if you wanted to team up for the jam?

Hey, are you still looking for a team?

https://itch.io/jam/mini-jam-97-simulation/rate/1347964 Hope you have fun

This is my favorite thing

Was fun but hard

thanks for the heads up should be working now!

with the jam well on its way I want to ask you all for feedback on how to improve this jam for next time.

I mean, I had to do it.

the theme is a way to get extra points, if you feel like the theme will drag down your game you can focus on the rest as it is only 1/5 of your score.

Sure, just maybe write a bit about how it could be used in a game to enhance gameplay and immersion

See Jam page for limitation, I'm exited to see what you can come up with in this jam!

Really fun, maybe after the jam make it possible to change your speed

(1 edit)

The music was from a Library the rest was me

I could listen to that music all day!

Maybe add a UI element for the health, it would add a lot of helpful information to the player.

I ran into a bug where I landed on a coin and the game completely froze.

loved it, The game was tons of fun, one thing I would change is make it a tad bit slower so the player can focus a bit more on the beautiful art and music.

One thing I noticed was if you died near the end your oasis wouldn't have any water, and you could go to the bottom of it revealing the skybox.

Yeah, I'm a programmer first and those are the types of things I want to work on more.

Cool concept, might want to smooth out diagonal movement.

Great game although the controls took a while to get used to, in the future a mode where it goes in the direction of the mouse might be a good fit. Now this is pod-racing!

Great game, a few things that I found were, the mat grey material that you use as a backdrop is visible in the bottom right corner and I feel the level system of the flower just added noise and would have done better as a high-score system. Also I crave your cookie eating powers.

It launches an AOE projectile, Thanks for the feedback!

I enjoyed the game a lot, it is probably the most polished out of everything I have played, One thing I would add is bonuses for high combos like increased speed or a triple jump.

I Like how you build a map as you go through

Yeah, This was my first time adding audio to a project, I learned a lot.

Maybe add a couple slow enemies so that there's a drawback to just walking everywhere, also there is a bit of foot slide.

One edit would be to make the game do a check so your tools are always visible at the start of a new round. I loved the art it was just complex enough to not clutter the screen.

I like how you used the theme, one thing I would change is have variants of some of the sound effects so they don't get really repetitive.

Great game, A few things you might want to change if you continue to work on the game, make particles and UI fit the visual theme, fix bug where the mouse disappears when you re-load the menu other than that its a great game with a ton of potential.

Great game, One thing that might make it feel better is a sense of inertia with the island to sell its scale.
