Hi! I’m putting together a small team to make a quiet, atmospheric, single-player 3D exploration game about preserving fragments of humanity after collapse.
The game is centered on lonely traversal through a beautiful, empty world, finding traces of what remains, curating them, and deciding what deserves to be remembered. It’s slow, mood-driven, and focused on environment and meaning rather than combat, power progression, or complex simulation.
This is the core idea I’m leading with, I expect it to evolve as the team iterates, but the tone, scope, and core experience are intentional.
Current team:
Right now it’s me and a composer / sound designer. I’m a writer and will be serving as the game’s designer and narrative lead, handling structure, pacing, worldbuilding, and overall creative direction.
Who I’m looking for:
-
Programmer — to build and maintain core systems (player controller, traversal, interaction, save/load, etc). Engine flexible (Unity / Unreal / Godot).
-
Environment Artist — to design and build world spaces, terrain, landmarks, lighting, and overall atmosphere.
-
3D Artist — to create props, structures, and assets that populate and define the world.
Scope & stage:
This is early pre-production. The goal is to keep the scope tight and ship a complete, cohesive first version (roughly a 4–6 hour experience), rather than chase something huge or endless.
Compensation:
This is a rev-share project. The split is negotiable and will be discussed transparently once the team is formed.
Format:
Part-time, remote, low-pressure. No crunch, no unrealistic timelines.
Who this is for:
If you like atmospheric, slower-paced games, communicate clearly, and want to actually finish something, you’ll probably be a good fit.
You don’t need professional credits.
If this sounds interesting, feel free to DM me on discord (@jetlife1756) and I’m happy to chat or share more details.
If you’re interested but don’t fit one of the roles exactly, still feel free to reach out.
