Summit Drive is a difficult game about driving up a mountain using only your mouse. An accumulation of titles such as Envirobear2000, A Short Hike, and Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy.

Summit Drive is on sale for 20% off for its release!

Hi! I didn't know people could play the game using a Steam Deck. Since I never put a Linux build. Hopefully as I keep improving the game post launch. I may look into gamepad support (However, it will be difficult to control since you are really controlling the player's hand, even more confusing vs mouse).

At the moment the game will be on steam with a 20% sale. But only compatible for PC Windows for mouse + keyboard.

Definitely not abandoning gamepad + controller support. (It's just not how I designed the game to be).

it’s been a while since I had played a text based game. Especially on using twine. It’s well made!

Hey everyone. I am currently creating a "Foddian" game inspired by games such as Envirobear2000 and A Short Hike. A Demo is available to play here or on Steam!

Summit Drive is a driving game where you play as an anthropomorphic bird who must make their way up to the mountain summit for a view like none other. It blends the mechanical absurdity of Enviro-bear 2000’s controls with A Short Hike’s cozy, quirky aesthetic. The core mechanic of the game revolves around steering a physics-based vehicle using only your mouse buttons for directional control. You must use your left mouse to interact, drive, and steer, while using your right mouse button to brake and change gears. The path upwards is narrow, steep, bumpy, and filled with obstacles that appear before your eyes. The game explores the fear of driving and falling, blending them into a metaphor for life. The road is right ahead. Are you ready to drive up?

you should submit this to IGF

lol.

sure feel free to message me on discord: seaweed4633 or my gmail lonelyseagames@gmail.com

Thank you for playing, you can actually grab onto the steering wheel! While holding your LMB on the steering wheel your hand should attach itself to the wheel. Glad you enjoyed it. I will be releasing the full version  in the next month.

brilliant game. I love the concept of toilet racing. Reminds me of some installations in Japan. Also, hi 👋 been a while.

you have to keep looking at them. If you look away they get closer. You cant run away because they are faster.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.  THIS IS COOL. I would try to optimize it. I THINK THERE IS A MESH WITH TOO MANY VECTORS.  NICE ART THO

oh haha. Awesome glad to help unintentionally.

woah what is this

lmao

This game jam seems quite interesting definitely will look back at this

Um…this is awkward it is SCP I just spelled it wrong I prob will update it later today and add more to it but this was a short assignment for my class so

lol it’s meant to be a prototype oops I forgot to hide it

Thank You so much. It means so much to me when the people I make games for are happy.

Yeah this was for a school assignment lol and a prototype. Was trying to play with a certain style. didnt really expect people to make vids and play it. but yeah certainly there will be other games on this itch similar to this and more refined.

thanks. glad you played it

oh cool, yeah this was something for a class assignment. I have to make a prototype game every week.  But I am going to go back and make some refined fixes and maybe some expansion;)

thanks this was a prototype I made for a class project. I also forgot to mention that you will need a decently powerful computer for the best experience. But thank you for playing. Didn’t really expect anyone to play it

Hey AJB awesome looking game man. I saw your process through LinkedIn. Great to see your process all the way through and can’t wait to try the game out bro.

very cool mechanic which was seen in the recently released game Viewfinder. I find it cool how you guys took that mechanic to create a very liminal gamespace with some horror-like elements.

thank you.

very funny lmao awesome game

oh for sure I am working on the full game of Esther. And I am a solo developer and university student learning Game Design, so I am learning as I go. I thank you for your feedback. Just letting you know the environment will be different for the full release and will not overdo the PT effect.

thank You :)

This game was actually well done. It was more like a movie which I love. I wish there was a little more head bobbing to the players camera to give the movement a more realistic feeling. Overall I enjoyed the game.

oh dang I am surprised you guys couldn’t make it through.
