Picked up a physical copy from The Ink Pot this weekend- fun little read so far! I'm at chapter 9 and especially enjoying the parts from Odette's PoV.

At first I was unsure how the original concept could be expanded to 50 pages- but wow, was it ever! A surprisingly thoughtful look at a hypothetical alternate lineage for tabletop gaming, as well as a solid game in its own right. I'm scratching away at some scenario ideas even as I write!

Thanks Mint! It’s not been updated for 1.5, but at this stage I might as well just wait until 1.6 haha. 

My idea is called Adventure Pets! Very much a 'serial numbers filed off' type deal here. It leans more into the plots/the adventurous stories I enjoyed writing for Neopets when I was younger, as writing for the Neopian Times was the main reason I played Neopets and the plots were full of story inspiration.

We'll see if I end up tidying it up enough to share- I kinda have something workable already but I also have higher priority projects to work on/playtest rn haha.

Thanks for the clarification! We're enjoying the game a lot, next session is in a week. 

My mage player and I (the GM) ran into a little issue with the Quintessence wording. When it says 'channel aether equal to your mage rank + your spirit', does that add on to any aether you have left over or replace it? We've been going with the latter but I'm unsure what is intended.

I almost cried from laughing several times at these artwork edits. The game itself features engaging takes on familiar ideas alongside clever jabs at popular culture. 

Love the simple but effective shiverblade mechanic: it automatically wounds unless the defender also has a shiverblade. Really emphasises how dangerous a weapon that inhabits all realities at once would be! 

Ooh looking forward to it! Especially excited for the Ashen Strand- vampirates ahoy! 

Using this for my very first time playing Ironsworn. Rolled a miss on my first swear an ashen vow move, wasted a whole night arguing with a blue-blood because he refused to go inland without a human entourage. Your inciting incidents for each region are so much fun! 10/10 can't wait to learn more about the world, excited for more content. 

Also, that character sheet is just stunning! Love the kin symbols especially, can't wait to print my sheet and colour it all pretty.

Been thinking about this game lately. So excited for this update!!! 

Wooo I thought I saw some pasiones in this, and I was right! Love this and how it pokes fun at different player archetypes as well as character ones. 

Will archetypes be coming later? I notice there's a character creation option to pick an archetype, but currently no elaboration. 

Looking great though! Definitely got me feeling those old timey AC vibes. 

This game is so beautifully set out and so simple to run! Definitely wanna play it as a one shot some time (add that one to the neverending list!!! I dream of infinite free time.)

What a beautiful, moving work! I got the good ending the first time, but even so I felt like all my emotions were being pulled at as I read. Thanks for making this!

It went super well! We're trying out different systems before settling on one to use for the next long-term adventure in our fantasy setting. Everyone enjoyed AtO, and we're going to do another adventure with (most of) the same characters next month. If that goes well, it may end up being our new game! 

Playing this tomorrow morning. So excited! We have a Strategist, Bard, and two Mystics. 

It was Warframe, haha. Eventually managed to get through it, my brother has been playing the game since the start and thinks the issue was caused by a more recent update because he'd never had an issue with that particular fight. 

Believe it or not, Warframe! There's a famously bugged boss fight, Mutualist Alad V. My favourite glitch was one where I somehow became immune to dying, that plus the more common "can't hurt the boss" glitch inspired this. 

I didn’t witness this controversy, but I’m both a Warframe fan and a Nova fan so I’m very excited to read this. Thanks for sharing in spite of the negative memories surrounding the development of the game. My brother and I play both Warframe and ttrpgs together during weekly catch ups, so this is a great game for us to play together. I’m very thankful you shared it.
