Love this game. It's so cute T-T Even if it's a little cheesy (but not too), it's all in good fun and obviously inspired by shoujo tropes while also subverting them. Great characters, although maybe the Matt route could have used more time to develop the relationship. Not that it matters because Warren is best boy
Anyway, I remember playing this game when it was first posted on LSF, and it is just as great as I remember. One of my faves! Thank you dev!
SFM was one of my favorite VNs all those years back, and playing this newer version now, honestly aged so well. It's not often where I actually grow to like all LIs and you really nailed it.
Some random comments:
- My least favorite ending though is probably Alden's best ending, since it still feels quite sudden for him to reciprocate MC's feelings. Alden's good end was actually sweeter and more realistic I guess.
- I also kinda miss Seth's more "bishie" look in the original, but his current design definitely reflects a more geeky archetype.
- Forgot how much Seth and Cherri roast MC lmao it's hilarious and it's a nice subversion of the typical flawless NLOG MC
- I'm also curious to know what dialogue changes you made, it would be cool if you had some kind of text document with all the changes. Then again I could also just replay the old one side by side lol.
Anyway, regardless of all the nitpicks, all the characters feel so well-rounded and I love the witty writing. If you eventually come back to this project to add CGs or other updates, I be ecstatic! Thank you for sharing this VN and allowing oldies like me to relive good memories. ^^
late to the party, but man i'm glad i finally got to play this T-T ngl what moved me the most was reading the author's notes rofl because elvine was one of my favorite OELVNs of all time! i can't believe it's really been more than 10 years since i saw you post it on LSF. there's nothing i love more than seeing one of my favorite creators develop their craft over time. as always heiden, you have a knack for storytelling and integrating fun rpg-esque gamepaly mechanics. now i gotta go catch up with the other games of yours i haven't played yet. as always looking forward to your next releases!!
Hi, I absolutely love your work with H1 and H2, would have left a comment in H1's page if I could. I am so in love with the world-building, characters, art, music, story, everything! Honestly these are some of the best VNs I've ever read, and I can't wait for H3. More accurately, I wouldn't mind waiting a century for H3 because I know it's going going to be worth it. Keep up the good work!
Side note: I would appreciate a walkthrough because I'm having trouble getting some of them (╥_╥) So far I've gotten Shadowed, Hardworking, Isolated, Neutral, and Peacekeeping. Also, it would be great if the next games have a CG gallery and music box function.
