The fact he made the thread for the NSFW discussion hidden to me says that they're not actually replying to people who comment there. Because if they were, it would make more sense to have it public so people can see what was already asked. I mean we all basically have the exact same questions, so it's not like there is any confidential difference between us.
To a degree, I can understand doing that. Whenever you get involved in potential litigation the first thing your lawyer will tell you is to delete all your online content and stop talking to people about anything related to your case.
Having a hidden forum helps to concentrate any discussion about it into a quarantined area in hopes of preventing further discussion about it.
It's because the owner of this site made an announcement the week of the great eroge slaughter that if you put no payments, you will be indexed again, and that all paid NSFW content will be auto deindexed.

However I and many others have done that and we are still de-indexed which I guess means we're still on Itch's shit list. But they won't tell us what we're doing wrong.
Same. However I don't think it will happen since I think Itch's strategy is to just ignore it and hope it goes away. Right now all the key devs who actually bring in Itch money are indexed (they aren't bringing money in for itch right now, but I assume they will in the future when the talks with the banks end), so there is no incentive to reinstate small guys like me who are just freeloading off their server space and not bringing in sufficient traffic for our resource allocation. Especially when doing so could possibly aggro the payment processors back into threatening the site all over again. That's why I'm thinking I might get nuked eventually. We're kind of quietly herded into the death camp where no one can hear our screams. Haha.
EDIT: Off topic, but your game Nekomata looks REALLY good. I don't have time to play it, but I have that saved for a rainy day.

The guy who used to make the android builds (PHDUSA1) went dark, I think he quit. To be honest, I kind of forgot about the android stuff. There won't be any android builds on any release from here on unless we find someone else willing to do it, because I tried, and failed last year when I did Rabbit Hole. I really don't understand how the android OS works from a dev POV. I watched several youtube videos but Renpy keeps giving errors.
From what I hear, if you use joi play then it will work. I've actually never played a VN on my phone, not even my own stuff. Nothing is really sized to fit a mobile phone so I would assume it would be hard to read text and stuff.
One option I have thought about is just recording the content and posting a video file since currently all releases are kinetic, so no choices. Right now I just don't have the time for that.
Personally I don't mind if they never respond. I just don't want to be cancelled. kek.
Yeah, that's what happened with the other devs I'm in communications with. I got an IRL job and my following is very small, so it really is no biggie if I get nuked one day, but some of these guys were making near six figure income on their games and then out of nowhere they get nuked without cause. And there isn't any real appeal path which is why I'm thinking it's just bot run, because even if the staff is understandably bogged down with the credit card companies, there should be some feedback on what to do next. I've had similar issues on ebay and gunbroker. I'd rather have indian tech support than the cold shoulder of our AI overlords.
I figure worst case scenario, I have twitter and xmrbazaar as backup and I'll just pin a tweet with download links or something like that.

Oh that's a very insightful point. The guys who I talked to who were banned only had like a sub 5% download to collection rate. I have about 25% despite having several updates so maybe that's keeping the ban hammer off of me. It makes sense that they could use that as a metric. That's the only thing that's different about me than them I can tell.
I personally had no problem getting indexed at the start, and every single post from me is eroge. All of mine suddenly got deindexed and downloads blocked a few weeks before the payment processor thing, then they unblocked downloads a few weeks later but kept the deindexed, and I was just not sure if I'm going to be nuked soon or what they kept me deindexed meant. Most people I talked to got banned out of nowhere, and they didn't have any TOS breaking content, which confuses me.
It seems that Itch has no plans to totally ban NSFW stuff at this rate, so I'm just trying to figure out the secret sauce to keep myself from getting kicked. I don't have a big following, and nearly all of my followers came through other followers reposting my games on other sites, so it isn't the end of the world if I get banned, but it's fun playing around with the game page appearance and I'd like to keep that as long as possible.
Like others, I have NSFW games that were set to free but still haven't been reindexed months later, and since Itch stopped talking about it, I'm assuming that only the people who have a strong following will get reindexed. I'd like to be reindexed but it isn't the end of the world if it never happens (it was fun watching the stat graph though), but a lot of guys I knew got banned and that's what I want to avoid since I really like the Itch layout.
I'm curious if anyone here who was delisted got reindexed after the announcement for the policy change, and also if anyone has ever actually gotten a reply from support (as in ever, not just about the NSFW thing).
Speaking to some other devs, it sounds like Itch is kind of like Ebay/gunbroker where the site is basically unmoderated, and site actions are just triggered, and the contact info is just fake and put there for legal reasons. So I'm wondering if I should avoid updating the game pages since based on what other devs have been telling me about what happened when they got banned, it seems every time you update your page without a certain threshold of player activity you have a progressively higher risk of being detected as spam and banned. From what I can tell, the rules listed aren't actually followed (there are a surprisingly large amount of instantly indexed games that break the rules), but it seems like the key is to upload a game page once and never touch it again as a small dev until you get a more serious following. For example, every update I've been adding new images to reflect the new content, but apparently it is possible that it puts me at a higher risk of being arbitrarily banned. I'm curious what other people have heard or experienced. Obviously no one here is banned, but maybe if you saw things like view counts dropping to near zero after updating or something like that.

No problem, my reply is late too. lol
Yeah, I'd love to have a VRoid guide. I never heard of this stuff before but looking at it online, this looks like an amazing program I would be interested in getting into. I've seen people do milsim (like airsoft/laser tag) using VRChat but no one would ever tell me how they were doing it. This looks a lot like what they were using I think. This might be my excuse to finally buy a VR setup.
I wish I found your guides a year earlier because when I first started renpy I was struggling badly because people making tutorials were using older versions, and their code was apparently are not compatible with V8. I like your rpg quest style of tutorial.
Thanks for providing these great tutorials to us plebs.
EP1 is a pretty good representation of the kind of story that is to come. Romance has not been in any of the releases so far, but it will be be an obvious core component given this is an eroge, and there will be a lot of fight scenes, especially as the influence of the war grows. Fight scenes are kind of tricky given these are still images, and unlike a drawn comic I can't add motion lines to convey movement. So I end up using a lot of frames which takes a very long time to pose. For example, a simple motion like an up drill, raising the rifle, takes me about 10 min to pose. Doesn't help that since I'm limited to a laptop I can only use a trackpad.
Ideally I want to have a lot of surreal horror aspects (not so much jumpscares in dark environments, but anxiety in well lit areas kind of feeling), however I have never written a story in my life, so as my first attempt I'll probably miss the mark in a lot of scenes, but hopefully it gets better as it progresses. I actually originally planned for CV to finish by the end of this year, but it's a much bigger project than I originally planned. Again, part of it is that I'm spending most of my time figuring things out before I can make content, so once I get a better handle on things, I'm expecting progress to speed up. I had to learn something new for every single release so far. I don't want to be spending a decade on this as I have a lot of other stories I want to make. Having the plot already written out was one of the best decisions I made, since the plot from a dev POV gets exponentially more complex and it would be very difficult to remember the character histories and write dialogue as I progress. Even in these early scenes, there are details that are significant to later story events. Some of the characters are actually based on people I know, and based on things they witnessed IRL so I can't just wing it to fix plot holes.

Thanks for following. That said, you should join the Subscribe Star or Patreon free tier if you haven't already, since IDK if we are going to be banned here, so following on Itch may not get you notified of updates. Itch blocked us at one point, lifted the ban, but now we're shadow banned so IDK what is going on.
The entire script is already written out, same for Crimson Veil. It's just a matter of making the renders and programming it. SE V0.03 is currently out on XMRBazaar and for subscribers on Subscribestar/Patreon.
Most of this year I planned on spending on learning various stuff, so progress is somewhat slow right now. Next update hasn't come yet because I had some IRL work stuff to deal with.

Oh no, it wasn't here. Some guy I think from the GFL wiki back when it was more active had posted the original and I think he had like a GFL event timeline thing as well. That's where I originally downloaded it when I first started playing GFL during OP Cube. When Reverse Collapse came out I went to check out the original and the link had expired.
Unless that was you, in which case, extra thanks.
To be honest, it really doesn't affect us that much. Our presence on Itch (and frankly our overall fanbase) is very tiny, so we aren't actually losing anything. I really just posted this to help people know where to find us if we get nuked. That said, our stuff has been reposted by players to a whole bunch of sites and since our email is in the game, it's not like we are going to fall off the map if we get ghosted here. I will miss the game page layout of this place though. Everything is nice and crispy looking, and it was fun changing the colors and backgrounds.
Itch did unblock downloads as far as I have heard from followers, so maybe we passed their shit test. Or maybe they're just raising our hopes so it will be more satisfying when they squash us for good. lol
The guys who have thousands of followers they built over several years though, I can only imagine how devastating a loss that is for them. Especially some guys actually are doing it for their job and depend on the money. So this is like getting laid off if they don't have paid subscribers.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. Any of the games marked as released in the "More Information" tab are completed (it may be expanded later depending on supporters). Otherwise it's still in progress. Unfortunately, we are nowhere near completion yet, this is turning into a lot bigger project than I anticipated.
I wasn't able to get a lot done the past month because I was working in the middle east and pornographic materials are outlawed there. In reality, they don't actually enforce it especially for those on diplomatic assignments, but it would be unprofessional to take that kind of legal risk on a job.

Awesome! Dang, that sucked what happened to you, but it's hilarious how you solved it and it worked. I like that one guy's idea to add "Everything" to the end. lmao.
Also thanks for the Godot reccomendation. I've been playing around with it a little and yeah, it is WAY easier to work with than Unity. I was planning to make a game in several years, but I think I might be able to get a working demo by the end of this year.
Also lmao, your Twitter feed is amazing.

Yeah, then that's some BS. I mean, it hurts Patreon too because they take about 30% cut of small donations (although half of that goes to payment processors IIRC). I guess they just want to avoid all legal flack and figure they're big enough they'll always have income no matter what. Based on their creator report, basically if someone just spam reports a dev, it's almost guaranteed to deplatform them from Patreon since very few of the cancellation requests come from law enforcement. So the loud minority takes control. It sucks too because he was making a solid six figure income at that point and I don't think he has recovered to his original income yet.
Before the Patreon apocalypse, someone reported him for review manipulation on F95zone, which is kind of a stupid claim since he was already very popular with over a hundred 5 star reviews, there is no reason he would need to do that. The crackhead conspiracy side of me thinks a rivaling dev was trying to go after him since donors are a limited quantity and everyone is fighting for their attention and money. Something similar to that happened to a dev of another game that's teaching me some stuff, which caused him to quit working on his game.

I wish I could say I had a good reason... but the truth is that I forgor. 💀
The latest version for donors will be uploaded as soon as PHDUSA1 sends it. He's doing it for free, so it will come when it comes.
Also we only just completed Episode 1. I wish we were over half way done, this thing is taking forever to make. It's a lot more work than I anticipated.

Yeah, sorry about that. There is a game called Astral Lust and the blue haired girl has two pregnancy scenes (although it's a dream the MC has). You might want to check that out if you're itching for that. It's pretty deep into the game, but it is worth playing if you haven't already. It's very underrated IMO with good romance and action.
Corrupted Kingdoms also has pregnancy IIRC. I'm pretty sure patreon even tried to cancel them for that. Banging random women you meet? Okie dokie. But having a happy family and raising a daughter? Absolute heresy! Ban hammer!

BasedInPink writes the sexual content and she hasn't written every scene to completion yet, so it's subject to change, but so far: unprotected premarital handholding, handjob, footjob, boobjob, blowjob, thighjob, vaginal, anal, masturbation, hidden public sex, roleplay (blindfold, restraints, slapping, choking, cosplay). I guess technically there is cheating due to his breakup in the intro, but he's not going to have to deal with any THOTs from here on.
We might add another girl down the line which would make it a harem. It depends on the direction BIP chooses for the scenes. If so, then you would have threesome, yuri kinda (such as the whole girl sandwich thing with them stacked on top and other stuff like double blowjob. Which is like yuri with extra steps.), and voyeurism from watching each other. If we do this, I plan to put it after most of Eris' solo scenes, that way someone who doesn't like harems or yuri can just quit at that point. I can't really censor it since plot wise is going to be weird when some other chick is casually roaming around the apartment. "Who bitch is this?!" lol
One of BIP's crypto donors wants pregnancy, but the rest of them are against it. I haven't asked patreon dudes since there are only three guys so even if they all said yes, they wouldn't be significant enough to beat crypto votes. The way I’m thinking I could implement it while keeping everyone happy is to put it in a separate side game. Also instead of keeping it at the end I could do something like the girl daydreaming about being preggers and having sex. Main thing though is that I'm not going to commit an entire update for only one guy unless he commissions it, or we get a bunch of donors who are into that kind of stuff. Neither BIP nor I are into that so we would need the donors to fill us in on what exactly they want to see in that anyways. There is a lot of content already cooking not just in this, but also in CV, and my time is already limited enough from my IRL job. So I don't want to be preoccupied with niche stuff or I won't get anything done.
