Glad that you noticed the movement, it's not much scripting actually but I did take time to adjust the movement so that it feels that way.

About the enemy you can't really avoid him he just instant-kills you.

Thanks alot

No way! Thanks alot for playing and putting together a video! And yeah I think I should've added way more to this, and adjusted the camera.

Appreciate it

Thanks for playing! This is based off of Five Nights at Freddy's minigames hence why it's quiet and mysterious, but Ill definitely keep those ideas in mind, especially a way for the player to win 😅 Thanks for the feedback, it means alot!

Thanks for playing, I was trying to adjust between the camera and that TV border but I guess it does look a bit off which I might fix. I think I could've improved on the ending and SFX a bit more since I did try to make it more mysterious and eerie.

Really appreciate it!

Thanks alot for playing! I'll try to expand on the gameplay way more, since I did initially have ALOT of plans. Love the ideas and again thanks alot!

Had alot of fun with this endless runner! I did like the abilities and the trick or treat mechanic. And the character tilts did emphasize the movement alot. It would be nice if the designs were a bit simpler with more color distinction between the characters, background, UI so that it's clearer and more distinguishable.

But I enjoyed the gameplay alot! Keep it up

Fricking love this game and it's kinda amazing with the time you had. It kinda gives me Undertale vibes when the game itself knows what you did. It's a pretty complex game for the time frame so I do understand the bugs and typos.

One of them I found was that the E would *sometimes* just stay stuck on top. The font does look broken but I think it's intended to be that way. Another about the mirror minigame where you could place the mirror pieces anywhere on the screen, would be nicer if the pieces would go back in it's default position. It did take some time to fix the mirror because I had to rotate and guess where the right position is, what I'd recommend is to make it way simpler and faster to solve so that some don't get annoyed. Maybe add WASD support since some do prefer it alot.

I only reached the Good and Neutral endings, I'll try to reach the bad ending when I figure out the frequency minigame (I think Im bad at it 💀).

What I DID like are the cutscenes, the dialogue, even the little stuff like the random ghost in the mirror, combined with the minigames and multiple endings it actually made me kinda scared.

Anyways to conclude, it genuinely has alot of potential and I would love to see you expand on the gameplay and lore. Keep at it!

Thanks alot for playing! It actually just ends like that. You're always DOOMED 😅 I would try to make different endings next time

It is made in Godot yeah. Never really thought of doing that since the TV border is just a completely seperate TextureRect but nice to know

Thanks alot!

Appreciate it alot!

I did adjust alot so that the gameplay could look smooth. But about the camera I really had to precisely align between the camera and the TV border which is why it looked like that. I think I could've centered the camera a bit better and Ill keep that in mind next time. Thanks for playing!

Appreciate it alot!

Yep, the CRT effects and the designs were HEAVILY inspired by FNAF minigames 💀I did try to capture that eerie feel to it. And yes...bizarre entities .

About the camera centering, I tried to center it a bit more but I also had align the TV border overlay, which is why it looks that way. I think I could've centered it better and Ill keep that issue in mind. Thanks alot though!

Thanks!

The "old TV effect" are called CRT shaders btw if you're interested. Basically overlays similar to CRT TVs ontop of the gameplay that make this effect

Appreciate it alot!

That last part was actually a jumpscare, you can't escape him. I did initially think of making multiple endings but it was too complicated for the time I had and just opted to making one creepy chase ending. But thanks alot for playing!

Thank you alot Ilya!

I didn't really think of adding checkpoints since the game is so short (and you can't really win even if you collect all. You're always doomed 💀). But Ill try to think of a workaround for my next projects.

Thanks alot! It's called a parallax effect background if you're interested. Basically 2 layers of a background on top of each other where one is bigger and moves slower than the other.

WOW. I've never played a game like this. The mechanic of editing and making your own platformers is huge, and I am a big fan of platform editors (played stuff like Mario Maker). Especially with the visuals, movement, and those ghosts attacking you. This game has huge potential if you could add levels and stuff with different enemies.

Great game, and I'd like to see you work on more like this!

Nice game, I really like the cutscenes.

But now I kinda wanna know Mary J. Phillips lore.

I loved this game so much, one of my favorites in this jam already! The designs and artstyle are super cute and I like the idea of seeing inside the characters' thoughts to make their recipe. I was literally panicking to look for the right ingredients , stir, and keep the cauldron heated! I love that mechanic.

I would like it though if the cooking part was made slightly simpler and slower, so that way people get to understand and settle into the gameplay idea.

Seriously, this is so well made! keep it up!

Honestly the concept seemed pretty unique. I do like the idea of moving to antennas to fix the interface and turn the snow into pumpkins, the aesthetics are cool too.

What would make this a bit better is to make the red platform's timer way less (sometimes Im stuck in one position for seconds) and maybe a tutorial mode so that people understand the gameplay easier.

Keep it up!

Or you can also try the new web build on the Loyl of Lavender page!

Easily my favorite from this jam. The aesthetics, design, and SFX were immersive and AMAZING. It would be nice if the controls were a bit more simplified since it does take some time to understand, and probably it's just my laptop but it was sort of slow on web. Overall, pretty freaking amazing.

Loved the concept. Combat was pretty decent but it would've been nicer if there were more abilities or if the ending was way more complex to get to. Overall I liked it alot, keep it up!

If Windows is blocking the game saying "Windows Protected your PC". Click on "More Info" and press "Run anyway" to run it.

It's not hacking your PC 💀 It's just a Windows quirk to these small executable files.
