Yeah, I would agree with the steep learning curve. Which is ironic because it was the visual scripting that lured me in from Unity!

Unity fan then? All good, I think we all find a game engine(s) that speak to us and that's the one we go with. Just a tool at the end of the day anyway, what matters is making games and enjoying the process. Good luck with your entry!

If you are doing 2D and its simple enough Construct 3 is worth checking out as well

I'm best at those engines but I've completed games in Unity so I can switch to that. Wouldn't mind trying Godot either.
I can do coding (can we call that when it's BP?) or 3D art (kinda) sound effects/music, whatever.

My plan had been to add some sort of interactivity in the form of a story you'd assemble by finding different hidden objects but realized I'd have to get deeper into Lua than I wanted at the time, I haven't decided if going all in on learning how to Code in Core is a good use of my time.
