I would love to do either music composition or sound design for your game! I'm a beginner when it comes to actually working on a game but working on a PSX horror game is something I'd love to do.

My discord handle is icantbelieveitsnotbudder and here is my portfolio: https://ruby-heart.super.site/

Along with that I just competed in a game jam specifically for OSTs, which you can find the results of that work here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLvxHtl3V_W7-Z4sfFpcyZMuIW4SswrYh

Very pretty soundtrack! It made use of its simplicity and minimalism very well to capture a somber but playful mood. It was short and sweet and never out stayed its welcome while still being interesting. Great job at capturing the feeling of reminiscing on childhood.

Three great tracks with three diverse emotional soundscapes. I think my main problem is that the tracks feel a little too quiet, especially evident in the second track which robs it of the punch I think it should have. It's not as bad with the third track but I do think the volume could be raised on it, but the composition on it is just lovely. Really good job!

I loved this OST but it was way too short! I didn't get to latch onto any song or really get into the melody due to the length. Obviously songs would loop in an OST but that could be a detriment too potentially if they were full level themes as they could get repetitive and potentially grating I feel. I think also the low end sometimes came in too loud, and some of the sounds were a little too harsh for me. Still, I loved what I heard and the chill tracks made me vibe out while the faster ones made me really pumped up. A really good soundtrack over all!

I really wanted more of this, this was awesome storytelling wise and I could perfectly tell when each track would be used in a game. The use of real instruments also helped elevate it and give it that 80s feel. Perfect sentimental but campy horror vibe that flowed so well together.

Both tracks really capture a night drive vibe, either fast paced or just cruising. I feel the mix can be a little muddy when it gets loud but your use of instruments and SFX is superb.

Although I felt sometimes the tracks could bleed together and that there was a lack of movement in some, overall this was really great and the highs that stood out really stood out. The strangeness of They Found You I very much adored and I found Isolate to be the peak of the introspective vibe. That final track was definitely filled with emotion as well and was definitely the storytelling high for me. Some real good ambience all around.

Wow, absolutely stunning. Both the beginning of the first track and the end of the second one gave me chills. You could've convinced me these were live instruments with how you mixed and automated them, very much helped by the strong composition you had. My only complaint is that it got a little loud in some parts for my taste. Also, the tracks felt very cinematic, which could be both a good or bad thing depending on where it would be placed in the game. Overall though, incredible stuff.

The combination of both calm and melancholy is done so well in this OST. The live instrumentation adds a lot for just the feel of the soundtrack, I'm glad you chose to go with that! Every instrument stands out and the pieces continue to move while still keeping that ambience. I wish you could've done more for this, the stuff I heard was really fantastic!

Very pretty adventurous soundtrack, I do wish almost all the tracks were longer and had more movement either compositionally or instrumentally. Also I think the bass sections of each track felt a little too loud for my liking. The call and response motif and the use of modes was interesting though. Very solid OST all around.

If this is rushed I can only imagine what you make when you aren't crunching. This is genuinely fantastic in every way. My biggest compliment I can give is that this OST would make me want to buy this game just off the OST alone. Also helps that I like anything involving cults or clowns. That last track through me for a loop in the best way possible, very cool switch up. Overall everything kept my ear and the quality on display is phenomenal, good work :o)

Yes I love MBV! Their sound was definitely the main inspiration for that final track.

Although I think the tracks got stale around the halfway mark, the ambience you provided was quite stellar especially with your mixing. I do like the use of soundfonts as it drove home this nostalgic night drive feeling. I also like the motifs you played around with compositionally. Good stuff!

Wow, telling such a great story with so little detail on the description is a really strong feat! I loved that last track, I wish it could've gone on for longer. Some really good ambience overall that maybe got a tad bit stale at times, but the composition and your mix were practically perfect.

thank you!! yes im very much inspired by akira yamaoka and both ps2 and indie rpg maker horror games. i appreciate the feedback, thank you for it!

Really peaceful ambience with some interesting harmonic structure that caught my ear. Like some others have said, I feel myself drifting a little with the length of the tracks and they felt a bit empty at times, but overall some nice atmosphere and ambience.

I love the beachy and dreamy feeling of these songs, perfect for a summer night on the beach with the setting sun. I love how ambient it is without it getting boring, I do wish there was slightly more movement or that the songs were slightly longer, especially setting sun which I would've loved to hear more of. But my biggest complaint being more means this is some good stuff you put out.

As the sun lowers and moonlight creeps its way through the slits of my curtains, a new case falls into my lap. Evenfall, a submission to the OST Jam. Dark, jazzy, perfect to take the edge off from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Seriously though, absolutely obsessed with what you put together. The unconventional direction you took the prompt was still perfect and you accompanied it with four amazing tracks that suited it so well. Maybe it's because I recently played in a noir tabletop game, but this OST has its hooks in me. Great work.

Thanks for letting me know, just fixed the playlist! I tried to for a more DIY feel for the mix, but i might have overcorrected in some aspects but for the most part it's intentional. I appreciate the feedback regardless!

Thanks for checking my submission out! Also, that instrument you're hearing in Battle in the Depths is a shamisen!

Wow, this was so, so beautiful. I adore how much effort you put not only into the music, but the lore of the game itself. Definitely has to be some kind of open world big boss kind of game in the style of Elden Ring or Shadow of the Colossus. The concept art with the music, especially the use of guitar reminds me of a bit of southern gothic/weird west, but that just might be me.

I think the songs can get a little too wall of sound-y at times, I heard it the most with the last track, might be the effects or something else in the mix or both. Still, it did not kill my enjoyment of the composition at all, and it definitely enhanced it in some places.

This is like a beautiful mix of hyper light drifter, dark souls and a bit of hunt: showdown, and i am all for it.

Don't really have a lot of good criticism to give cause this is just super good! I'm not really experienced with chiptune myself but I think you pulled it off pretty flawlessly, and the decision to do something more orchestral as well must've been tough, but it definitely paid off! Really great stuff overall

I love how consistent everything feels, instrumentally and in tone while also still capturing different emotions really well. Each track reflects what you're going for really well too. The leitmotif throughout is super cool as well!

I'll have to check out the Wonder Egg Priority soundtrack at some point (and the anime too, that one has been on the backburner for a while lol)

And yeah mixing is one of my weaker points, so I plan on improving that. I knew that clave was way too loud but the time I realized it it was too late haha

Thanks for your feedback!

Thanks for the feedback and criticism! This is the first time I've been through the process of making an OST, but I really enjoyed it and it might be a career path I might possibly head down. So I really appreciate your thoughts and take them into consideration for my next project. Even if what you said are more down in the details, the slightest change can make a big difference. Again, thanks for giving great constructive criticism!

This told a great story overall! I think the tracks flow super well together and all are cohesive both musically and aesthetically. Could do with some variation in the tracks to spice it up, but you clearly have a great ear for composition!

Honestly I didn't expect these many ratings since this is my first jam, so the feedback I've gotten has been more then enough haha
But thank you, I appreciate your thoughts! Your submission was great as well!

Loved this submission, gave me heavy Toby Fox vibes in the best way possible. My favorite was definitely Soaring in Ambition, but FEARMONGER was awesome as well with how it picked up and had some rock elements to it. Great collection of tracks overall!

Love the sense of adventure and hopeful sound of the music! Reminds me of stuff like Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy. I would've loved to hear about your game concept and what lead you to choose this style of music though!

Honestly, even though the mix would definitely improve it at least a little, the beautiful composition pushes this track to a whole other level! I was super inspired by Ghibli making my submission, but I think yours really takes that feeling and encapsulates it. Also love the thoughtfulness you put into the concept of the game itself. Really great stuff!

I really appreciate the feedback! Mixing is one of my weaker points so that's definitely something I'll keep that in mind! And definitely my sound selection is something im super proud of

Wow, this is like basically perfect for me. I'm a sucker for interactive music and the concept of opposing worlds, so this hooked me in immediately. But your sense for composition and sound choices is exquisite. The way you described your game linked with the tracks perfectly, it really made me want to actually play this fictional game of yours.  My only real problem is that there isn't a game to go with this, amazing work!

This is a really solid collection of tracks that keep a consistent theme while also talking different emotions within the music. There's a lot of interesting composition choices that I think panned out really well, especially within the string section. Great stuff overall!

A great collection of songs, all very pretty and matching the aquatic feeling of the picture. The instrumentation and composition matched perfectly, and overall was very beautiful!

This is absolutely fantastic, definitely sounds like an area theme to some kind of platformer. It's the kind of song where I could get lost in it for hours while playing a game and never get bored of it. Fantastic work, great instrumentation and composition all around.
