Appreciate 💙

After more than three years of work, I’m really happy (and honestly a bit nervous) to finally share something very personal, my debut indie game, a project I’d been dreaming about long before I even started developing it.

And yeah… I pretty much stepped on every rake a beginner indie dev can find along the way 😄

At one point I even left my job to fully dive into the creative process. It was a wild ride, but also an incredibly valuable experience — I definitely came out of it with a much clearer and more realistic understanding of how game development actually works.

The Artman is, in many ways, far from what you’d call a “trendy” mobile game. It’s a mix of economic strategy and simulation set in a grounded cyberpunk world. Basically, it’s the kind of game I personally always wanted to have on my phone during long trips, something deeper than hyper-casual games, which I’ve never really been a big fan of.

This game is inspired by the philosophy of old school immersive sims, especially their grounded approach to cyberpunk, similar in tone to Blade Runner and the Deus Ex series.

At its core, this project is a personal experiment. It attempts to translate the creator’s own artistic experience into a non traditional gameplay structure designed specifically for mobile devices. By blending narrative depth, systemic thinking, and player driven interpretation, the game explores a different way of interacting with interactive media.

If that sounds interesting to you, the game is completely free and available on both Android and iOS.

Here’s the link to the game page.

Over the next year, I’m planning to wrap up this journey by adding the remaining gameplay content and bringing the project to its final form.
And after that… we’ll see where this story goes.
