Good news you're progressing😀 The actual game will have a more gradual difficulty level, the demo was to demonstrate and test a number of mechanics. Good luck with the later sections😉

Not sure yet, depends on demand. But again you're not the first person to ask, so could be😀

Try using the slow-time mechanic when moving between the stripped blue blocks, as these blocks are safe points ;)

Thanks for the feedback, glad you're enjoying it.

You're not the only one that mentioned continue points, also I was considering this myself. As a result I'm looking at the best way to implement this without making it to easy.

Also someone else mentioned the doors, so again I'm looking at how this could be made easier.

With regard to the electric floor. The trick is to use the slow-time mechanic, as you can't outrun the electric current. Once you use that it's easy :)

Good news, glad you liked it. Did you manage to complete the level?

Yes. I'm only using layer 2 on the title screen. The full code is available on GitHub.

Super cool tutorial project that provides all information necessary to help develop your own ZX Next projects.

Cheers thanks for the kind words and video. It  makes it all worth while when people actually play your game👍

Cool game. The graphics style takes me back

Cheers thanks for the kind words and feedback. I'm currently writing a new more ambitious game, so stay tuned👍

Thanks for the video, glad you liked it. Have you tried keyboard control, you might find it easier👍

Thanks for playing and the gameplay video, only another 3 levels to complete :)

As well as dropping the rocks, have you also tried pushing them as well. This tactic is useful to destroy the spawn and also to drop onto other enemies as they move up the screen.

De nada. Espero que disfrutes jugando tanto como yo disfruté escribiéndolo.

So glad you liked it. The beauty of the Next, is that it gives you an opportunity to create new versions of old retro games. So who knows, Bomberman🤔👍

For all you ZX Spectrum Next fans, I've just released a free new Mr DO! inspired game called Dougie DO!  The game is simple,  use Dougie to collect diamonds whilst avoiding enemies. To combat enemies, Dougie can drop bombs & rocks. Be careful though, these can also kill Dougie. Finally be aware that not all enemies are the same.

Complete all 10 levels by either collecting all diamonds or by destroying all enemies via rocks.

I hope you enjoy. playing.

Cool little game. Is the soundtrack available and if so, what format was used?

Version 2 now uploaded, which includes User Interface update for different resolutions.

How's your game getting on?

Did you get chance to download and checkout my game?

Nothing wrong with dramatic, better than bland. Just posted my new game on itch.io https://robgm.itch.io/orbital. Would welcome any feedback.

ORBITAL is a tube shooter featuring three progressively difficult levels. The aim of each level is to complete 6 laps within a required amount of time, with each lap getting progressively quicker with more hazards.

To help combat these hazards, the player is equipped with both a gun and a brake. These can then be used to help destroy certain hazards and avoid other hazards.

For anyone interested, the game was developed in Unity using DOTS and took around 9 months in a part-time capacity to complete.

The game is a free Windows game and can be downloaded at ORBITAL.

I hope you enjoy playing and welcome any feedback at:
