I like the fact that you clearly got inspired by Solstice (NES) for the thumbnail. Just out of curiosity, are you preparing a Solstice port, or some spinoff? That’d be utterly awesome, as there is virtually 0 chance we’ll ever see that game rereleased in the future (Sony doesn’t care, but still cares enough to not let Nintendo publish it on NSO…).

Hi Rodrigo,
I tested the demo with my EverDrive GB X7 and it seems to work, but loading the ROM says there are no files, while there are definitely some text files along the ROM in the same folder.
Your description says the ROM can read text files from the SD card, but it does not seem to be the case for me. Maybe the text files need to be compiled into the ROM for the files to be discoverable/readable?
Please let me know!

The publisher seems to think that a digital release will irremediably result in a huge drop in sales, since it can ease sharing and thus piracy to their eyes. They want to control the flux of money, hence why the keep the games at a high price, physical only, and don’t shy to adamantly strike any site that dare post dumps of "their" games. In that regard, since releasing digital equals no sales, it’s not surprising (although unfortunate) that they do what they do.
It’s seems so far, after seeing how it’s being handled, that it’s in the Modretro marketing conditions that the devs can’t make a digital version available. It’s been this way with almost – if not all – games in the Modretro catalog.
Although I’m also voting for a digital release, it seems it’s very unlikely to happen as far as Modretro’s distribution practices are concerned.
Love it! One of the best looking moto racing games on the GBC, and one of the best racing games, period!
The only grip I'm having is how the game feels when you are not pressing A while racing. The bike comes to a halt instantly and so is the SFX. I expected some slower deceleration, and maybe some braking using the B button.
Kind of reminds me of Hang On on the Master System! :)
Hi @joelj, hope you are doing well!
Just wondering. A few other games showcased for the Chromatic have their digital counterpart being sold here on itch.io or at other locations (digital stores like Incube8 or BitmapSoft).
Is there something preventing you from doing the same? Did you sign an exclusive distribution contract with ModRetro?
I don't know for you, but from my perspective it feels like not offering a digital version alongside the physical one will significantly hurt your royalties in the long run. Selling a cheaper alternative to the physical version would help increase your user (gamer) base.
Let me (us) know your thoughts!
What are your intents with this proof of concept? Because there are great movements, mechanisms and colors in this. This could make for a great game. To me, in it's current state, it looks like a mashup of Zelda The Minish Cap and Mina the Hollower.
Keep up the great work, hope great assets like this will end up published in one way or another!
