Hi everyone! I’ve released Ash and Steel, a free single-player dark fantasy RPG inspired by old-school browser combat games.
I wanted something to play during short breaks: a few duels, meaningful choices, and steady progression.
Choose one of five body zones to attack and a guard that protects two. Learn enemy tactics, deal with passive and active abilities, collect equipment, and spend your ash on permanent upgrades at the campfire.
The game features over 90 enemies, 3 bosses, and 50 difficulty levels. There’s no time limit on turns, and you can save your progress.
Play in your desktop browser or download the standalone HTML file for offline play. Available in English, Spanish, Turkish, Simplified Chinese, and Russian.
The original engine code can also be adapted for your own projects under the included license.
