I absolutely think you should continue with it because I'd definitely play more, the vibe is dead on!

The art for this has a classic and clean NES sort of feel, which I actually really enjoy! I was a little lost on what I was supposed to do. I ate a burger and then I think went nuts and killed my family, but I was surprised to see the other version of me upstairs in a magic circle. Would love to know more rather than have it end so fast!
This totally gives me Mortuary Assistance vibes, but on a small scale. The graphics are cool, I was super lost on the mechanics at first. I think it's because you have to have your mouse centered on something you want to interact with and a little crosshair or something would help a ton! Also the mouse sensitivity was dang near zero for me, I would definitely suggest a slider!
This was gorgeous. I had some struggle with the obstacles (mostly getting sorta pinned between the monsters and cloud thingies) and tbh it kicked my butt a few times. The art design is really killer, though. I love the creatures! I think if the mechanics were given a bit more love (I'd also be curious to know what the parasite element of the game is) it'd be real gold!
I would definitely love it if I could see a bit better. I was so absorbed in trying to just move about in the dark that I was sorta smearing myself along walls and didn't see one of the jump scares. That said, the pacing was pretty decent and going around finding the items was fun! Would have loved to see more of the parasite theme played into, too!
Also, best item in the game:
This gives me epic old-school Tomb Raider vibes. I also could not find the thing after the chalice, though I did look all over the place. Maybe I was supposed to go in the place it said to turn back, but I assumed from the warning I wasn't supposed to go in there yet?

This was actually such a cool take. I took my time playing because I wanted to interact with stuff. I think having random items that you can interact with (like turning on the ceiling fan) makes a game just that bit more fun and immersive, because you want to mess with things. It also makes you wonder what items matter - like I picked up the sleeping pills way before needing them, but they ended up being useful. Also the neighbor, uh, hole, was great, lol.
So as a fellow fan of DOOM style games, I love this. I like the simple but easy to understand UI, and the general vibe is such a classic. The keyboard controls are pretty easy to use within the first like 15 seconds of just playing, even if a bit unusual. Would love to see some sort of flash or effect when you kill a creature!
Okay I love this. Really. I don't think it's difficult to play at all. I think it's just of a genre that most people aren't used to and that is terribly underappreciated. The visuals and audio are well-tuned and perfectly support the experience, which is given through very well-written snips of text. The idea of the dice and sort of 'plugin' bits on the quadrants of the brain is really unique as a concept, and makes you feel like you truly are trapped in the mind of this animal, desperately trying to fix itself when it cannot. It's kind of profound in a way, like what a creature must experience when going through, say, rabies, and losing itself. Well done. The only thing I'd complain about is that those of us with a bit of a visual impairment could use a bit bigger or clearer text, haha.
I'm not a big fan of visual novels either, but I am a reader and I really enjoyed the writing and the character depth. They felt like real, messed up people. There's also a surprising amount of content and interactions that make the scenes feel immersive. It's clearly really thought out and I can see you took your time and care on the story.
NO COMMENTS YET? The heck! The visuals for this are insane, definitely hit the gross factor, lol. I will be honest, I got stuck in the first room. I found the note and I tried to get through the web at the door, but I couldn't figure out how. I tried looking for a hidden exit as well but the walls kept squishing me, lol. I really want to see more!
OKAY SO. I played this and I LOVE the level design. It screams of old-school SNES platformers and the pacing is really good. The visuals are fun (some darker areas I struggled with, think a gamma slider would help that a lot) but the environments are really unique. Sound is great, as are the story beats. I won't give much away but the cracks at the end did get me, haha. I had a bit of trouble with getting the gears, I think it's because sometimes when you move along a beam it goes a little too far and you have to sort of backtrack/wiggle to pick a gear up. Not really a problem though. I'd actually definitely play more of this, especially if there's further lore/story. I think your best points are level design and pacing.
