I’ve just released a playable demo of The Beekeeper, a systemic puzzle-strategy game built around spatial decisions and irreversible consequences.
You place hives on a hex grid to stabilize a degraded biome under drought pressure. Coverage is distance-based. Flowers outside support slowly deteriorate, and once they die, they don’t come back.
There are no units to control and no production loops. You get limited hives and have to make meaningful trade-offs with every placement.
The demo includes:
- 4 tutorial maps
- 6 procedural maps
- Around 20 minutes of gameplay
- The complete core loop
You can play it here: https://resilientlogicstudio.itch.io/the-beekeeper
Feedback is welcome.
