Reminds me a bit of Persona, Dragon Quest 1, and Might and Magic with the dungeon crawling. Some bugs with the items/chests/podiums when rotating while they're on top of the avatar, but it doesn't kill the game experience.

I enjoy the great atmosphere and the art style. The lives as spacemen was a nice creative artistic choice. Good work.

No because they aren't MMX sprites. If anything, create a different claw or spike hand.

Should be no issue. Only thing I used were some of the palette colors of OG MMX 1-3.
