Thanks for the feedback :D yea so if you're dashing you can deal dmg, but otherwise you can't, and you can take dmg. But honestly the lines between the 2 are hard to discern, especially if you're still going fast but dash has technically 'ended' so u get hit. Thanks for pointing that out

Thanks for the great feedback! That's actually a interesting suggestion, i might try to implement that after that game jam, see how it turns out :) And also abut the 'deflect', i was aware of it when i made the movement and attack system, it wasn't exactly intentional, but it kinda just emerged ig and i thought it was cool. Yea i should've added hit flash to the enemies, but my amateur ass coding skills just didn't figure how and i tried but it kept having this weird delay after hitting the enemy before the flash actually happened so i just did something called 'it's good enough' :P But either way, thanks for the great suggestions and feedback!!
I saw u rate my game and decided id play yours! It is really fun, sprites are very cool, I like the game mechanics, very well executed! There is a bug though, if you die when the wave ends, you get stuck in the 'death state', which means you can progress though the waves still but you are basically immortal since you cant take dmg cos your already, well, technically dead. And one minor criticism, the camera felt like it was left behind sometimes when the player dashes, like it sometimes lags behind quite a bit and it makes it a bit harder to see enemies. But other than that, I loved it :)
Peak gaming experience, game of the year, im abandoning silksong for this absolute beautiful masterpiece.
But seriously, it is actually pretty good. Game feel is nice, the hand-drawn visuals give the game it's charm, and the audio is fitting. Controls were very responsive, and l love Larry's little waddle. The theme could have been more directly added, but overall a peak game, well done!

The game concept is fun, I had a similar idea for my game lol. But the progression was so sudden! It made me feel like i was in a rage game and at times I felt I had little control over my player character bc everything kept flinging me into the nether. Not like i can talk lol. maybe I just have skill issue :P Also, maybe the optimization could be better but yea.
Artstyle is cool, and i like the theme usage! Very creative in that regard, i have now reached marshmallow roasting enlightenment :O
Biggest criticism is the introduction of the game mechanic though, was quite confusing :P would've liked at least a little demo lvl if possible? Once i understood it though the game was enjoyable!
It took me a while to get the hang of the core mechanic, but once I got it i became such a sweat, i kept retrying the lvls bc i wanted to improve my time lol. I like the music, and the retro look aswell :) The core mechanic itself is quite interesting and results in fun gameplay, it feels exciting going faster and faster and nearly like you're on the edge of losing control, but its so satisfying still! Overall a very good game and very fun!
