# Sprite Extractor v1.5.2 Beta Is Now Available
Hey everyone!
I’m excited to release **Sprite Extractor**, my first public desktop tool.
Sprite Extractor is a standalone Windows app for indie developers, pixel artists, and small game creators who want a faster way to turn videos, image frames, and sprite sheets into clean game-ready sprite assets.
It brings the core sprite preparation workflow into one focused offline tool:
**Extract → Clean → Check → Export**
Instead of jumping between multiple apps, you can load your source material, extract or split frames, clean backgrounds, preview animation, run Auto Check, and export your assets from one place.
## What it does
- Extract frames from videos
- Import and split sprite sheets
- Remove backgrounds with chroma tools
- Preview animations
- Auto Check possible duplicate, empty, transparent, or big-jump frames
- Export PNG sequences, sprite sheet PNGs, and atlas / JSON metadata
- Save and reopen projects
- Work locally/offline with no cloud upload required
Sprite Extractor is currently a **Windows beta** for Windows 10 and Windows 11.
macOS and Linux versions are not available yet.
Pay once, use it forever. No subscription.
You can use it for personal and commercial projects.
Feedback is very welcome.
### Launch discount
Sprite Extractor has a launch week discount available for the first 7 days.
This is my first public desktop tool release, so feedback and support mean a lot.
