OH okay! That's me accidentally putting a little Yugioh in there with the summon limits. I recently learned that the ancient game of Hnefatafl had a ton of regional variants, so I guess it's in the spirit of the whole the-people's-game thing to have everyone playing house rules!

I FREAKIN LOVE THIS IDEA! This feels like the version of 1KBWC I always wanted, with a needed splash of MTG and... Fluxx? I'm about to go haywire making cards for this, but I made this alternate card back first! I tried not to change any of the rules, but I felt like I had to reorganize them so it would be easier to teach my friends. Hope that is OK!

This is so good! I'm arranging these monsters into encounter lists so I can use them for my roleplaying group!

Glad to see it's still inspiring someone! I've gotten back to game writing lately, so will be putting out more MH content out in time.

Just uploaded the old long version.

I'll check if I still have the files later tonight & upload. They might just be messy old WIP versions, in which case I'll just post the more detailed thief skills and less freeform wizard spells, since I think that's all the new version is really missing. The rest of the page length was pretty much lengthier / less efficient versions of the rules that are still present.

Thanks a lot! I've been playtesting it for some time after posting - now almost finished with a new version (mostly the same with a polish & some new gizmos). There's certainly still room to adjust it however you see fit. Also, been making a Star Wars supplement for this, which is 4 fairly dense pages so far, hope to hear what you make of it.
