Thanks for the feedback! I went back and fixed the link in the thread, thanks for pointing that out. It is a lot of reading, though it's tough to design cards that are both versatile and simple. That's just a challenge I'll have to keep working on. I appreciate "wiki-pilled." Your video showed me some things that should be explained more. I'll definitely make a way to zoom in more, thanks for the suggestion.

I thought, "What if you took the wand building mechanics of Noita and put it in a deck builder like Slay the Spire?" So that's what this is.

It's a one-month prototype that's focused just on combining cards to build powerful spells and blow up enemies with placeholder programmer art. Experiment, try stuff, figure out new combos.

What I want feedback on specifically is whether it feels intuitive and whether you can figure it out without help. And whether it's fun, of course.

This inspiration for this game was, "What if you took the wand building mechanics from Noita and made that into a deck builder like Slay the Spire?" So I took a month and made this prototype (please excuse the placeholder art). Each turn, you can place cards on the board. The cards resolve from left to right to create or modify projectiles. Then when you end your turn, the spell you made flies out and bounces around and explodes depending on the cards you used. Some enemies have passive effects that affect the spells or interfere with your attack, some react to other enemies dying or being damaged, and some do stuff at the end of each turn.

This prototype is focused on just testing and getting feedback on the card comboing mechanics. So please leave a comment or join my discord to tell me what you think!
